All in all a good purchase for the price. Cannot for the life of me understand why the garter straps are SO LONG. I will need to significantly shorten them which is annoying.

I am generally a medium but the medium was huge. I returned it. Someone said in reviews there wasn't a big difference between medium and small but there is. I ordered a small and it was great. I am 5'-3". Straps are adjustable but only so short. If you are shorter than me you might need to alter straps to make them shorter. The quality is excellent for the cost.

This girdle/garter belt fits as expected, and it gives good support. The metal garters hold up stockings and are adjustable as to length, though they sometimes open up. It's attractive. It washes well in a delicates bag in the wash machine.

Let me start off my saying that compared to extant garments, patterns, and fashion plates these look almost exactly like girdles from the mid 20th century. However, this is not shapewear and shouldn't be treated as such. I bought this looking for garters, and so I didn't expect any shaping to be happening. As a garter belt it fits its purpose well; the notions are all accurate to the period and are easy to adjust and fasten. I have some bespoke versions of this kind of garment and it's comparable to that quality. The only gripe I have is that the straps are very long on my 5ft 3in and 110 lb frame. Even adjusted to their smallest they are rather long. This was easily fixed by unpicking the thread binding the straps to the belt and cutting them shorter, then using a backstitch to secure them firmly back together. I'm sure for people unused to needing to tailor their clothing further this would be a huge turnoff but I'm used to not finding things that fit well and so this wasn't enough for me to knock off a star. Id definitely recommend this product to others; my only caveat is unless you are tall or have long legs expect to do a little bit of sewing!

Well made and very sexy feel. I recommend if you order true to your size it fits perfectly. If you would like a more snug feel with some compression for your tummy, order one size down. It will still fit since the material is stretchy. The metal clasps to adjust the length of the garter straps do sometimes come loose, but it's not much of an issue just make sure you set them in and give a slight tug to secure them.
