I'm still a first term nursing student, and this is my second stethoscope. I began on the cheap and bought a MDF stethoscope upon another students recommendation to save money. Upon not being able to hear a thing, I researched and found this beauty which solved all of those problems fast. Oscillating the heart, lungs, and abdominal is quite clear without much effort to listen. Save yourself the time and effort and start with this one.

I bought a cheaper one at first, however it doesnt have a pediatric diaphram which I will need in the future class. So I thought, since Im getting a new one already, why not invest in a better quality one. The quality is definitely better than the cheaper one. the tube is a lot softer, I can hear the pulse a lot clearer. Forgot to mention, Im a nursing student, and this completely fits my need. It comes with a ruber rim for the pediatric side, you can replace the pediatric diaphram with it if your professor requires.

I'm an RRT and this stethoscope beats the Cardiology IV! Seriously people, in my career I've owned many stethoscopes, but this one is the best. Lightweight and long enough that I don't have to smell my patients breath when listening to breath sounds, and I can hear the S1 and S2 heart sounds. With vent alarms and monitors going off I can hear faint crackles. You won't be disapointed!
Cheap no name product in the box of the littman III I ordered

This was a Christmas gift for and she was beyond excited to have it for her new nursing job at the hospital. When she opened the littman box it contained a completely different stethoscope (not even a littman!). When we searched for the one in the box it looks to be about a $10 stethoscope in the box of the $86 littman I ordered. Either a customer did a switch with a return and no one bothered to check what was in the box sent back or the company is trying to make 8× the money by replacing your $80+ stethoscope with a cheap no name one.

Great product. Works well. I gave it 4 stars because of the packaging. I ordered a replacement because original never came. When I received, item was shipped in original Littmann box, secured with tape. Unable to use box as gift. Maybe that's why my original order never came. Someone saw what it was and took it for themselves. Just an assumption. But 4 stars, great product, poor packaging, in my opinion.
