Day 14 - Great seed so far!
Alan Kaid✓ Verified PurchaseMay 11, 2018
I live near Raleigh, NC and I bought this to overseed my bermudagrass. Seed was spread about two weeks ago (end of April 2018) when temps were in the 70's. Overall, this seed is pretty good when instructions are followed. Basically, you need to seed this when temps outside are 60-75F (preferably in the fall), cover it with soil, keep it moist, and make sure sun can hit the soil for several hours/day. That's really it.

I seeded this about 2 weeks ago, and the seeds were quick to germinate. Photos captions below:
-Photo 1: Day 7 (0.75" approx)
-Photo 2: Day 14 (2.5 - 3.0" approx)
-Photo 3: Day 7
-Photo 4: Day 14
-Photo 5: Day 14, PRG overseeded into some Bermuda
-Photo 6: Day 14, PRG growing in rocky clay soil
-Photo 7: Day 14, PRG that was improperly watered (stressed)

Overall, I'm pretty impressed and would recommend this to anyone wanting to seed PRG. Seed is coming up in spots where my bermudagrass previously wouldn't spread to. That being said, there are areas that get more sun than I could keep wet all day, and that seed died (no fault of the product). For it only being 14 days since seeding, this exceeded my expectations.

Check back for more updates throughout the year!

Waste of time and money

I thought I'd try this seed but it is a waste of money. I prepared the ground by raking and bought soil that contained started fertilizer and raked a level covering about an inch of so. I then spreader the seed over the prepared soil and water. I have been watering for two weeks. Not a big of the seed has germinated. Do not buy. I wasted including the dirt and seed around 75 dollars.
Beautiful, Deep green grass!

I planted this in the fall. It is now thick and deep green. I mowed this grass for the first spring mow on Feb 27th. Perfect for cooler weather!
