and you have to unplug and let it cool for 30-45 min before you can tighten

Gets very hot after about 10 min, while using it you'll want to rotate the bit so that you are always using the hottest part. Don't tighten when hot, and don't over tighten with pliers. It does get loose after about 1 hour of solid use, and you have to unplug and let it cool for 30-45 min before you can tighten, but it works well for small projects. Good for the price, you just have to go slow and don't press hard. Use with care and it'll work fine.
Great entry into the world of woodburning

Really great pen. Bought this one as a replacement of one I had accidentally destroyed. Like many other reviewers I was a huge novice with woodburning, so I assumed I could just pull the tips out, tighten them indiscriminately. The two settings set this apart from other beginner tools, as you'll quickly find one temperature is simply not enough. The one criticism I have is that the tips tend to get loose, but I also should mention I am left handed so I think it might be more due to how I'm putting anticlockwise pressure on the tips so they'll loosen over time.

I bought it for my fiancé and he says it works great. He is having fun learning how to use each of the tips provided.
Good results, questionable workmanship.

It does its job well, and as of yet, I have had no mechanical failures to worry about. However, the Quality of where the cord actually enters and attaches to the interior working parts is a little loose and worrying.
