Kickstand badly designed for uneven terrain or rocks.
smartypants✓ Verified Purchase•July 25, 2018
While this may work OK for city people who are toting your boats across perfectly flat sidewalks and manicured lawns, it is not very good for off-roading. This thing folds itself up every time you hit a rock, and the kickstand is designed to fold downward, toward the wheels, where it gives you a ground clearance of about 2 inches, instead of folding UP toward the boat, so it would give you as much ground clearance as possible... like a sane person would design it. I kayak in the Rocky Mountains, where we have, um, ROCKS. Apparently, the people who invented this have never heard of rocks, but where I live, we have tons of them. So, if you're a flatwater paddler launching from a dock or something, it'll probably be OK for you, but if you're a whitewater paddler or if you go to rustic, wild lakes or rivers with uneven terrain, this is not the best choice. I'm going to have to try to re-mount the kickstand, so it will work properly - what a pain in the butt.
It's a good product but it's weight capacity is overstated
Thomas P. Moran✓ Verified Purchase•June 22, 2018
It's a good product but it's weight capacity is overstated. It is not meant for anything heavier than a standard kayak. My flycraft inflatable raft is too much for it to handle. It folded unless I emptied the boat of all gear...and used only on a level, hard surface. Also...there is no place on it to secure the lashing strap (s). You have to wind it around the bars and then around the boat. All this said...it's my fault for not getting a heavier duty caddy. This would be ideal for a lighter craft...but they are guilty of exaggerating it's capacity
I like the way it folds and the wheels are easily ...

Well built kayak cart. I like the way it folds and the wheels are easily removed to store in the kayak or store at home. The wheels fit all types of kayaks. Once the kayak becomes wet the wheels must be secured with a ratchet strap or they will slide off as the kayak is pulled.
Connecting bolts are not metal
Victoria M.✓ Verified Purchase•June 2, 2018
The only thing that you need to assemble is to attach the wheels with quick release pins. Super easy. Here's the problem: The "bolts" that attach the aluminum (?) parts together look like and feel.like hollow plastic coated with silver paint. I do not believe that they are metal. See photo. Now I need to decide whether or not to just wait until they break and replace them with metal bolts or return the cart and pay twice as much for a different cart. Also, the guard for the clip on the strap is not leather or even plastic. It's some sort of fabric with plastic coating on one side. See photos. I cannot say that I would recommend this cart.
Folds/collapses onto itself when hitting obstacles
Sergei✓ Verified Purchase•June 1, 2018
After 2 days of use and 3-4 folding like that onto itself it simply broke into 2 pieces.
The main design defect of this cart is that the primary structure is connected to wheel-bearing tube using brittle plastic T-shaped connector. You can clearly see it on the product's photos.
The only positive thing about it is the airless wheels. But who cares if it breaks after 2 days of use?
UPDATE: next day after I posted this feedback the seller contacted me, told me that they are aware of the problem and asked whether it was OK for them to send me the other model, with different kickstand bug with better joints.
I received the new cart. Have not assembled or put it to the use. I'll restore my feedback to 4 stars for now because of great customer support but for the quality of the new cart the jury is still out.
