We had an addition built and I'm finishing the interior trim. I should have taken pictures before the drywall went up. My dilemma: other than magnetic no other stud finders I tried worked with spray foam insulation between the studs. This one actually found them. I had a few misses but I was trying to find the edge of the studs, ends up that half an inch makes a difference.

I was surprised this worked as well as it did, even on a real plaster wall. I don't think the directions actually say this, but I've found that the best indication of a real stud is exactly three lights. I assume that's left edge, right edge, and dead center.
Anyway, this thing works way better than any other stud finder I've used. Note that it works best on drywall because it's a nice uniform thickness. Operation on plaster is not as precise because plaster walls vary iin thickness.

Messed around with cheaper stud finders and was extremely frustrated, couldn't trust them at all.
This thing is the exact opposite, it works the same way every time and works perfectly, I trust it without hesitation. Pony up and buy this over cheaper junk, I get the feeling it will last a long time and I'm happy to have it in my tool chest.

Works very well, this unit takes out 100% of the guess work that other electronic stud finders I own leave. I watched a few YouTube videos on tips and tricks for using this unit, I thought is was great before the videos but after the videos this thing is excellent! Very accurate and shows multiple studs at the same time.
I did a test with this unit marking the studs with a pencil, then I did a test one foot above those marks and the placement of the marks was identical. Best stud finder on the market, as close as I can get to x-ray vision.
