Clamp it tight!
Richard Mantz✓ Verified Purchase•March 1, 2018
Very clear instructions for installation. All hardware for my application was included. Make sure you follow the instructions and clamp the bracket in place TIGHTLY! Whe is started drilling the first whole, the bracket shifted and the hole i started was in the wrong place. I drilled out the nearest auxiliary whole and used it. I got a bigger clamp and really torqued it down. I also used the "pre-tension" method, which have better contact. The brackets showed just how much the bumper on this brand new trailer was already drooping. Good product and way cheaper than welding supports.
These are great and easy to install

These are great and easy to install. No fault of the manufacturer one of them was hard to place as the angle iron welded onto the bumper by oem prevented me from using one side of the bumper because of how badly they had placed the angle iron. I recommend these to even those people who can fabricate parts to reinforce the bumper. This is because the powder coat finish, simplicity in weight, install and well cut 1/4 inch plate with relief radii on all the inner angles. I docked one star due to price. This part could easily be offered for $20 less with the designer still making a good profit.
I installed these brackets on my square travel trailer bumper ...

I installed these brackets on my square travel trailer bumper and hope they hold the load that I will be putting on them. The manufacture claims that It will let your travel trailer bumper hold 400 pounds. I had to use the self tapping bolts with out nuts as I have a tube frame on the trailer. I will keep an eye on them and if they go to loosen up then I will just get a longer drill bit and go all of the way through the tube frame and use longer bolts with some nuts. I have a cargo carrier mounted on the bumper with a treated plywood box on it with a 100 pound Champion inverter generator in it.
Great insurance investment for RV Bumper

Easy to install and looks like it should be effective. After install, I noticed a small gap between bumper and outside of support which would allow just a small movement of bumper before this would be most effective, but that was done during my install and although I clamped it, it must have shifted slightly, but still, it should work well and only thing better would be to back weld onto the bumper by tack welds or full welds, but not sure that is really necessary as it should work just fine as is. Instructions are simple and the self tapping bolts performed well. Since I am using two Honda 2000 watt generators and a bicycle rack on the back of my bumper, I felt this would really help insure my bumper holds all well over time.
A must have for Travel trailers and fifth wheels

Great solution for reinforcing our travel trailer bumper. I installed them on a 2016 Keystone Outback. Had to work around the bracket and welded areas but that wasn't a problem. Drill three holes and use the self tapping bolts to install. Super easy and definitely made the bumper much stronger. Highly recommend.
