Good, but pricey

I started using this product about 2 weeks before a scheduled dental cleaning. My hygienist barely had to scrape anything and commented on how much whiter my teeth are. This product removed some staining on the backs of my front teeth when used with my Roto-dent toothbrush. I have some pitting on my molars and I'm hoping they will remineralize. So far, they look the same. This product is a bit salty and has some strong essential oils. You get used to it after a couple of uses and then don't really notice. I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the expense. I found some recipes for remineralizing toothpaste online that I think I will try when I run out of this. This product says you can dip the toothbrush directly in the the pot, but I've been using a plastic butter knife to apply.
Salty!!!

I was aware of other reviewers comments about the salty taste but it was still a bit overwhelming. That's why I chose the anise flavor as recommended. I can't use this paste before bed due to the salty taste but I use it in the morning. I like that it's a paste and not a powder but I found that if I mix it with another that I use it's more tolerable.
To rate its effectiveness, my teeth have a very clean feeling after brushing and it seems to do a very good job in that respect. I don't know if I'll stay with it after this jar . The taste might be a deal breaker.

Never going back to "traditional" toothpaste again! I love this stuff. Anise is my favorite flavor; it doesn't taste like licorice. Some feel the peppermint is too much. I was super hesitant at first, for no real reason. My teeth feel dentist clean, fresh breath, and no worry about morning breath. I couldn't be happier! I've introduced others and they too are hooked. A little amount goes a long way, use on a dry brush as to not get water in the jar. I use with a sonic care.
Milder and saving my teeth!

This is much less intense than all the other flavors (children's included). So glad I gave this one a try! I ordered it just based on other reviewers saying it was more mild, and I had no idea what "anise" flavor was. It's not great. It kind of has a black licorice taste (in addition to spearmint and cinnamon). BUT it doesn't burn your tongue out of your mouth like the other flavors so I much prefer it!
Oh and of course the remineralizing properties are awesome! I've been filling in holes in my teeth and they aren't breaking apart anymore! I also love how slick and clean my teeth feel after I brush them.
I love that it comes in a glass jar with a foil seal under the lid. I do wish they wouldn't put the ugly barcode sticker right on the top of the jar though. It's impossible to get off and is just kind of ugly on my counter. oh well!

Mild anise flavor, still minty fresh

First time using any non-commercial toothpaste. Definitely salty, but tolerable. I was worried about the "anise" flavor to this, but after reading other reviews saying the mint was too strong, decided to give this a try. It is a very mild anise flavor but still has mint to it. Attempting to re-mineralize my teeth - this is the first step.
