Does the job. Seems a bit flimsy but I've sharpened about ten chains with it so far without issue. My local chainsaw shop charges $5/chain. It's paid it self off already, I just hope it lasts.

this will do what it is designed to do . it is not fancy but works well enough. I have sharpened several chains and used them cutting hard and soft wood and the chains have lasted a lot longer cutting than my filling chains with a file.For my use this item serves me well. You can buy a top of the line sharpener but this one works as good and is a lot easier on the pocket.

I needed a good solution to sharpen my chainsaw chains while cutting down a tree and dissecting it's stump. Hand-filing the chains would have added an extra day to my work, whereas with this I can quickly set my tooth angles and amount to grind off. Can work through 2x chainsaw chains in under 5 minutes.
It does take a bit more material off the chain that a traditional manual filing, but considering how much time it saved me, I would be willing to buy more chains when the teeth get too low. So far I've sharpened my two chains a combined total of 5 times and they chew through wood like there's no tomorrow. Definitely worth the money so long as the motor lasts.
I just temporarily clamped mine to my workbench so that I can store it out of the way when not needed or you can permanently bolt it to a surface for continuous use.
