Does the Job -- Personally... Using permanent markers are probably better, as the Dry Erase does not completely wipe off.

It does the job. I used permanent marker as I don't plan on using it repeatedly.
When I did use dry erase marker and tried to erase it, remnants of the color are left -- and that was when I cleaned it off soon after I wrote on it.
I would believe if Dry Erase stays on for a long while, you will still see some of the prior writing.
The magnet is ok... not super strong. It does hold on the tool chest and straightening it first, does help.
