Why people are saying there's spring issues and why its happening (EASY FIX)
Andrew✓ Verified PurchaseSeptember 3, 2023
I was wondering if I should get the OLSUS CAMADE (Bungee) Because I've heard its one the best mouse bungees right now. But then I saw this mouse bungee and the reviews, it seemed like it was perfectly fine but then I saw some one-star reviews that said "The spring goes back into the mouse bungee" or "it's too light" but after having it. The mouse bungee is way heavier than I expected, I do not see it at all sliding around my desk. Also yes the spring does go back into the mouse bungee but ONLY if you don't actually pull the spring out all the way! If you pull the spring out all the way you'll hear a click sound and then the spring is in place and does not go back into the mouse bungee. There are no negatives really, the only negative would be it's not as well built as the OLSUS CAMADE (Bungee) but it's still really well built and very good I don't see that being a problem for anyone.

OVERALL: A perfect mouse bungee and totally worth the money.
Not completely ideal, but a very functional mouse bungee at a great value.

The core duty of a mouse bungee is to restrict a mouse cord's free will and keep it (and the bungee itself) out of the way, but lets the user maneuver it when cord length is needed. The ideal mouse bungee will make it feel as if user had a cordless mouse all along. While the Casethrone excels fantastically at the basic core duties, there are a few caveats that prevents it from reaching the ideal.

First caveat: the retracting spring hand. While the retracting spring is supposed to be a personal preference on how much mouse cord the user wants available (for flicks and fast movement), it doesn't stay at its set length. Sometimes it retracts/extends on its own due to the weight of the cable or the movement of the user. The fact that the spring doesn't stay in its set location makes it hard to eliminate the introduced randomness. This could be a deal breaker for some, and there isn't an easy fix. It's possible to stick some poster putty or a clip of some sort to keep the spring at the wanted level or extend it to its maximum length (there's a tactile click when it's fully extended), but even then, sometimes it will still retract on its own.

Second caveat: the rubber feet. The feet just aren't keeping the item in place. It slips and slides even though the bungee is quite heavy for its size. While probably not a big deal for users with smaller mouse movements, it will be an issue for those who have large/substantial mouse movements (low mouse sensitivity players that need to use the full size of the mouse pad/surface). The easiest fix to come to mind: just buy new rubber feet of your liking and with better friction coefficients for the mouse/table surface you put it on.

Despite these two issues, the mouse bungee performs quite well and is quite a well made product for its price range (sub-$20 at the time of this review). Many other mouse bungees at this price range (sub-$20), do a pitiful job at their basic core functionality (getting that cord out of the way). mainly because their bungees are usually not weighted or aren't weighted enough. Its closest competitor would probably be the Glorious-brand Mouse Bungee at 265g, about five grams lighter than the Casethrone at ~270g.

The fit and finish of the product feels quite premium, with an ABS plastic shell that doesn't seem to flex. The weights built inside are not accessible, removable, or replaceable, nor do they shift around inside. The cord of the mouse is kept well in place via the silicone fasteners, so the cord itself is not moving much. Unfortunately, this feature is countered by the spring that moves on its own and the whole bungee that slides around.

All in all, I would still very much recommend a purchase if in the market for a mouse bungee, especially if the cord on your current mouse is a bit too wild and unwieldy for your tastes. If you are looking at the other bungees in the sub-$10 range that look unweighted and too 'barebones', just save your money for something like this.
Finally an invention worth Alec Baldwins attention!

What can I say about this except it changed my life. I was getting so tired of tripping over my mouse cord. Every time I would go downstairs to the kitchen I would go back to the basement and almost spill my bowl of nachos all over my pc. The mouse cord, the keyboard cord, the monitor cords would always just get in my way like a camouflaged trip wire. I had to do something, and then one night one of my brothers friends showed up to a LAN party with this pyramid cord holder. That night I can say with the utmost certainty that he never once tripped over his mouse cord.

Since buying this I can say I have not once spilled any nachos. This hold my mouse cord a modest 1.5 " up, and out of the way. No tripping but what was even better was that I got so much better at pc games! I could game longer and later without my fingers or wrist getting fatigued. The spring is also adjustable so if I am in closer combat situations in FPS games I can adjust on the fly to get closer to the screen.

One thing to note is that if your mouse cord is flat like a tape worm this will not work without after market adjustments.
Serves its purpose

Not a whole lot to be said about a product like this; a friend said I should really get one of these to make playing FPS games a bit better and I would have to agree that it certainly helps. As for value for the money, I can't say that it's worth as much as I paid for it, because the function of this is so simple, there's not much in the way of bells or whistles or anything that make it worth so much.

It would be like paying this much for a door stop.

But, if you're looking to make moving your wired mouse a little smoother for gaming, I would say this is about as good as you're gonna get for the price among other options I saw online, I just hope they lower the price a bit; I'm considering moving over to a wireless mouse to have one less thing on my desk.
If you have a Corsair MM800 you need this

If you have ever gone crazy because your mouse cord kept snagging on the corner of your monitor base, or you keep pulling up some cable slack and it falls back down your desk while trying to rekk noobs in a build battle (you know who you are) then you need a mouse bungee. If you have a Corsair MM800 just buy this because your mouse cable will snag on that USB port block every time!

I used to get so mad when I felt like my movement was impaired because my mouse wasnt moving smoothly due to the cable getting stuck so often. This happens a lot with braided cables that have that strong outer layer so they essentially stay bent up in zig zags (hey corsair and logitech) but now with the mouse bungee this is what I noticed:

- Weighted base keeps it on surface no matter how hard you play
- Desk looks much cleaner with this cool accessory and less cable everywhere
- I can do full 360s constantly without feeling the cable snag anywhere
- My KDA went up
