Happy with this purchase. A small ding but I'm sure after much use I won't even know there was a ding. :-) Everything fits well together, cover snaps are tight so I know they will hold.

The canteen and cup (the 1.2 quart size) appear to be pretty good quality, but the included canteen pouch is pretty lousy. The canteen lid doesn't leak, which is good, but the chain that holds the lid looks pretty flimsy. On the cover, the snap pulled out of the fabric the first time I tried to unfasten it, and the ALICE clips aren't real ALICE clips, but instead some cheap imitation ones made from sheet metal that don't work well at all. All in all, I'm satisfied with the canteen, but will be making a different cover/carrying pouch for it.

A good alternative to the plastic ones a lot bigger and better. You could probably boil the water in the cup unlike the ad flimsy aluminum older models or the cheap cheap ones a good product.
