Highly recommend for anyone who does not have a variable output from their amp or just wants to relocate the volume to a more comfortable location.
Since it is made out of acrylic be weary that the cables will weigh the back end down causing it to tilt (especially if you installed silicone feet). I recommend blue tack it down or glue a steel/lead plate to weigh it down.

Got this so I could run my Fluance turntable and Motu M4 audio interface through my Adam Audio monitors. Very happy with this passive preamp! The volume knob has a nice feel to it when you turn it, and the entire box is translucent so you can see inside "“ very cool.

I have a DAC with a built in Amplifier, when I turn the DAC off, it switches to stereo sound. Here's where the problems begin... my computer at 100% sound will destroy my ears, because the power speakers I have are too loud.
Now with this little guy, the sound is a joy to listen to, no more adjusting the sound via Windows, I just move this knob, and my speakers obey. To clarify, this volume knob REDUCES sound, it does not amplify.
-1 Star: I dropped this thing literally 1 foot off the ground, and it broke into 5 pieces.. comon!? I taped it back together, and it seems to still work for now..

It does exactly what it suppose to do. The only thing is that it's small and light and the cords are heavier than the controller; therefore, you have to put something on top to hold it down.
