But as others have mentioned, it's soft. You have to be careful tying it onto your hook. If the thread is too stiff it can cut through it. I use UTC ultrathread because it has multiple strands in it. I also use superglue to hold it on, too.

Not sure I'll live long enough to use all these up, luckily I have a dozen guys in my Project Healing Waters group that I can share them with. A whole new learning experience in fly tying as normal tying techniques can't be used as the thread will cut right thru the worms. dubbing up heavier thread with a like color helps a great deal. I'm going to experiment with putting a UV cure section in the middle to help keep the thread from cutting the worms.
