I didn't want to review this straight away because it took me some time to get a bird bath and get it situated, and then get the water system set up. So far this pump has done a great job of adding moving water to my bird bath. I have it placed in the middle of three oaks in my back yard where there is a lot of shade. I have 8 or 9 bird feeders along with a couple of bird houses, and I love watching the birds go from the feeders to the bird bath and back. I could have done a fountain with static water, but having a fountain in the bath adds a lot. The water doesn't stagnate this way, plus the birds love getting wet. And the bird bath looks a million times better with a little fountain. And the splashing water makes some pleasant noise for when I sit nearby and read.

My husband has been planning to add an additional water feature to our koi pond bup .t wasn't sure if our current pump could handle the additional load. So the project has been on hold as other more pressing summer jobs needed to get done. Then this pump came up for review and I jumped on it. It is the perfect size for bringing water up and letting it cascade over several wide slabs of stone which will also invite birds to bathe in the natural indentations of tje stones. This pump is not powerful enough to circulate the water of the entire pond through the filters but will be ideal for this smaller addition.
