I have purchased so many solar lights. Solar lights, the ones I've purchased so far, have NOT been built to last. I have no idea if these lights will last more than a year, but I like them so far. What I like 1) the rechargeable battery under the lid is a standard size, I can easily purchase a new one anywhere to keep the light fresh. 2) when lit up the lights are incredibly attractive. 3) they were not expensive, so if they last a year I'll find them to be of typical quality. I've had them outside for one week, so far, I really love them. I plan to purchase more as gifts for my friends. I've received so many compliments on them.

Although there was a problem with the batteries missing from one set of Mason Jar Lights, the problem was promptly addressed by the seller. I really like these solar powered Mason Jar Lights. I now have a dozen of them lighting up the porch area.

What a clever idea for a solar panel lid! Turns a regular mason jar into a magical fairy light. I put clear marbles in the jars first to weigh them down, added the lids and lined them up on my front porch. They hold a nice charge for most of the night after a sunny day. Of course, if you have all day cloudiness, they will not light until you get a sunny day to recharge them. The trade-off to me is worth it. No batteries to replace.
Don't know how long they will last but worth a try. These are exposed to the weather. This seller is extremely responsive and caring. I had a problem with some of my original order and they responded to fix it. HIGHLY recommend!

Update & Upgrade: I originally rated this product with 3 stars, being 2/6 did not work properly. I never contacted the seller, because of my own ignorance of figuring out how to. Instead, the seller, CHBKT, contacted me directly and has shipped a new set of 6 lights, initiated a refund without hesitation or question. That is phenomenal customer service, surely I will end up with at least the expected six functioning lights. They do look beautiful, and i have them in different colored canning jars, so the light are varied but just as sparkling in the blue jars as in the clear. The lights have not been affected by the morning dew (sometimes they stay out on the ground all night at my campsite), or by light rain. Believing the new set will work being friends have ordered this same set from this same seller in the past without issue, I hope to order more for our garden and walk ways (jars are cheap at Garage sales! LOL)

These lights are great, All 6 worked when battery strip was removed and the switch turned on. Remember you have to have your own regular size mouth mason jars to install the cap with lights onto. This is good because there are many styles of jars available in stores and at Amazon. You can also buy clips to hand the jars from hooks
