Best with a bit of oil.

I'm still messing with the best way to use this. It is so simple, neat and easy to clean up. It pops all of the corn best when using some oil. I used 3/4 tsp. of coconut oil with corn to the bottom line which worked great. I had a little burning of some corn when I used the popcorn setting on my microwave so now stop it 5-10 seconds early. You need some oil on the corn so that seasoning or salt will stick to it. Pam butter spray also worked well after popping and then add some popcorn seasoning salt. You save a ton of money over paper bagged microwave popcorn.

I felt guilty buying a second microwave popper on top of the one which I have already that works great. Well, this guilt was worth it all! I was amazed with the great success and advancement with this product! Keeps cool to touch on top rim/handles/lid, collapsable, and high pop rate; almost no unpopped kernels. I have also found Bob's Red Mill white popcorn to have great success, producing large fully popped kernels. This popper would make a fantastic host, wedding, housewarming or just friendship "foodie" gift. Nothing about the product that I wished were not there. Thank you for such a great product! Before I purchased this bowl, I made popcorn in a brown paper bag sans oil and after 2-3 minutes, maybe half the kernals were popped. I read about these bowls and thought I'd give one a try.
So, I'm surprised this bowl works as well as it does! Our microwave is pretty weak and I was able to make an entire bowl of popcorn using this- no kernals left behind. I highly recommend this bowl!
