This is a basic external cd drive. For the money it is hard to beat! Sub $20 and it does EXACTLY what I needed it to. Not USB 3.0 but that's okay if you can be a little patient. Very easy set up and easy use of device. I waited to get an external cd drive and for the price there is no reason to have waited.

I received it in one day so can't complain about that. I did have to use a safety pin to open it because I guess it was stuck or something but it ended up working fine. It is a bit loud though.

It arrived today. I plugged it in. It took two usb ports to make it worked. I popped in the dvd of partrician IV. It seemed to read the data. But installing the game seemed to be slow for some reason. I have not tried it with movies yet. I may need a separate power supply to run the player? I hat to say it but I did find something wrong with windows. Closing the search bar closed the installation of a program from the cd rom. So becareful when using windows 10 or 11 for this bug.

It's the best but does what I needed to do just bought it yesterday burned a 2 hour movie at x1 it took about 20 to 30 minutes went to the store came back and it was done could have burned at a faster speed but like said it the best of portable burners so I want it to last it plays audio CDs DVDs writes both plays well not noisy at all very quiet and I burned the movie without using the power adapter on my Dell 755 windows 10 if get a Year out of it with no problems then I feel like I got my monies worth out it not bad for $18 bucks
