I've had a lot of rechargeable and plug-in electric shavers. Some cut closer than the Oneblade, but none are nearly as effective at providing me with a daily shave.
I have seborrheic dermatitis and have always struggled with nasty redness and bumps after any form of shaving no matter what I'd do. This is the first and, so far, only method of shaving that has allowed me to get a close shave with virtually no irritation whatsoever.
Oneblade can completely shave my face in less than 10 minutes. It can cut through days of stubble to do that. The cut is not quite as close as a hand razor, but it never irritates me like a hand razor would. Shaving with the Oneblade is a fast, neat process where I wipe away the removed hair after with toilet paper. There's no shaving cream, no water and very little mess to clean up.
This unique combination of speed without any irritation has changed my life, where I am actually able to shave daily instead of constantly growing out a beard which I had always needed to do. Life can be complicated with my skin and, until finding the Oneblade, I had always needed to have a beard except for special occasions. Now I can finally go without and it's exciting.
The same applies to body hair. I have managed to clean shave literally every part of my body I could reach, again no with no irritation or cuts. There's a lot of power knowing I can just shave any part of my body whenever I want, quickly and without irritation or bleeding.
As I said, my skin is sensitive. A couple of my shavers have literally cut me and drawn blood even from irregular use. This one never has.
Other rechargeable shavers I own run out of battery somewhat quickly. The Oneblade has an actual battery meter so you can see the amount of power left. One charge on my Oneblade to 100% seems to last for 1-2 months when I shave daily or every other day. This is, frankly, ridiculous but it still seems as effective at 30% as it does at 100%.
I have never used the beard guard or tried using the Oneblade to shave the hair on top of my head. No comment on those aspects of the device. I just know that, for facial and body hair, I don't know of a more effective device for my needs.

Bought this as I thought it would be a better product than my original base model norelco one. Shaver body seems to have a weaker build quality than the original green one but does function just fine. The only improvement than the 30 dollar one is battery life and the sit on dock. Not a bad product but wouldn't call it the "pro" model
The last shaver I'll ever need

When I was a teen and saw my first face pubes grow I was eager to grab a razor, have my first shave and feel like a man. I quickly learned, however, how sensitively my skin reacts to razors. After trying many different types of razors which all lead to my skin turning red and burning I decided to try a trimmer. It solved one problem - no more rashes, but I could never get a deep enough shave. Even though it had a foil attachment I wasn't looking forward to the process of shaving because it was a hassle. Trim the hair, clean clipper, switch clipper for foil, then go over the whole face again to get a closer shave, take out the foil and clean it - it was tiring.
OneBlade offers a convenient solution to all of these obstacles. I've read many people say it shaves "almost like a razor" but from my experience it shaves sufficiently close that I could with all honesty tell no difference. My skin was smooth, rash free, and all that from a dry shave.
The razor felt to me like an invention from the future. Gliding it across the face feels like -- nothing. No nicks, no pulls, it just cuts through hair absolutely seamlessly. I was really enjoying it. It's simple to clean, no holes or gaps between the plastic components where hair can get trapped. And if you want to upkeep a stubble or short beard, the adjustable comb is at your service up to 10mm. It provides a trim just as consistent. The main thing to keep in mind when using this shaver to achieve best and fastest results is that you must shave against the grain -- whether it's from the neck upwards or form the ear forwards.
Overall - this is the only shaver I believe I'll ever need. It meets my needs with money, and not blood, being the only price I have to pay for a great shave.

Best trimmer/razor/shaver ever

I'm in my fifties and used to dream about a product like this in my twenties. I imagined an electric razor that was easy to use, but I guess the bigwigs didn't think such a product could succeed, if it didn't offer a close shave. Men don't seem to worry about getting the closest shave possible today, so I guess Philips decided it was time.
I first purchased the basic model and I posted a full review for it on Amazon. This one adds the lithium battery, charging stand, adjustable guide and a travel bag. The only thing I care about is the adjustable guide, which offers far more adjustments than the guides that came with my basic model. This allows me to keep a 5 o'clock shadow 24/7/365, when other products would either cut too short or too long. I can even adjust for a 5 o'clock or 9 o'clock shadow with the fine margins of the guide lengths.
I will note that I originally purchased the basic model, because I only planned on using the OneBlade to shave everything off. If that's all you need, and you never plan to use a length guide, then I'd suggest the basic model. Not only is it less expensive, but I also like the handle better (easier to hold and use). The basic model also functions just as well with it's AA batteries, as the Pro does with it's rechargeable lithium batteries. The AA batteries would last me around 1 month in the basic, and when the batteries die during usage, you can simply switch them out, so you don't have to wait for batteries to recharge (I've never actually run out of juice with the Pro while using it, so I don't know how long the batteries take to charge, but this is a general plus for disposable batteries, imo).
Both are great electric razors (better name, imo), so you can't go wrong. Even though the prices are too high, you'll still get your money's worth out of them.
