Due to my harsh comments, Innovo reached out to me to offer suggestions but also a full refund if said suggestions did not work. They didn't, but they were able to complete a full refund as a result. Strong customer service.
This thing stinks. Tested out the best way I could...when bring my child to the doctor, had the nurses take his temp. It read 102 with their Braun. Then had the nurse use ours (cleaned the tip, changed the batteries before hand). It read 99 (in the ear). What's the point of spending this money to get something that is 3-5 degrees off. It's the difference between a fever and no fever ffs.

I have 2 kids at home. My elder one does not mind me putting the thermometer into his ear but my younger could barely sit still. The forehead mode really came on handy. The forehead mode is about 0.3-0.4F lower than the ear in my experience but I can accept that. I just need to self adjust the temperature everytime I take a reading

Accurate thermometer

Both modes of the thermometer are accurate. I wonder if the thermometer might be cheating and that both ear and forehad mode are actually just replicates of each other. So, just for fun, I measure the forehead temperature using the ear button and vice versa. The thermometer will only work if you press the right button. If you press the wrong button, the ear temperature will read super low and the forehead will read super high. Great thermometer. Very impressed.

This is very convenient to use. You do not need an ear cover. I hate the old Braun thermometer because it always requires an ear cover. If you do not stock up, you might not be able to get a reading when you need one. If you stock up but nobody in your household runs a fever, you are stuck with 20 ear covers in your house for literally ever.
