Good Hat but Check Seams Before Keeping

Very nice hat but the first one shipped had a sloppy seam on the inside where the pocket was attached. Still not bad but looked like a factory second. Notified sender for a replacement and was sent quickly. The hat fits as expected (I'm a 7 1/4) with adjustable string to make larger or smaller. What I really like is the brim. It is a little larger than other hats I've had and quite a bit stiffer. Overall, it is much better than a Columbia one I have. It does breathe (I'm in Texas so the heat has been terrible) and keeps the sun off your face and neck.

Very well made, sturdy hat. However, the brim is somewhat heavy, imo, and on a windy day, the hat becomes a sail. I have to cinch the drawcord very snugly under my chin, or the hat will flip off my head (I have the toggle adjusted for my head size, which is convenient). Makes me crazy. For reference (I am a woman), my head is 22" and I ordered 7-7 1/2. It also took awhile for the folds to come out of the brim (where the snaps are) from packing. So, this purchase is a mixed bag, mostly due to not wanting to wear the hat on a windy day.

I don't usually wear any kind of hats or caps but I had to order this because it has been so hot in the city where I live and their was an outdoor community event that I attended and stayed out the whole day. It shaded my face more than none and really helped against the hot scorching sun. So it served the purpose. The event was on a Sunday and I ordered it on the Friday before and received it the next day. This was the only hat that I liked and to be delivered the next day Saturday. All in all I'm very satisfied and will where this again on another scorching hot outdoor community event. It doesn't happen very much in our city so then again I might not even where it again. Lol.

Good options as to how it can be worn. Good coverage from the sun. Reasonably cool to wear in the hot weather. Overall a fine lid.
Did note that the Kaki color was smaller than the off white. Same exact hat, both marked fits all but the Kaki squeezes my head. Had to steam and stretch it to enlarge it enough to be comfortable. One size fits all may not be true across the color options.
