Love, love, love this product. My kids ages 2-9 all love playing with this. Great learning for littles (types of food, patience of waiting in line, colors, numbers, etc.) and bigs (money, reading a recipe/grocery list, product discounts/coupons, etc.). We already had plenty of play food, grocery baskets, small grocery bags and play money but I did invest in some properly-sized bins to keep the food on the shelves. Without these things, it feels a bit "empty." Comes with two credit cards, though, which my kids love putting in the chip reader! Took me and my handy 8-yr-old approx. 1 hour to put together but directions are clear and pieces are all labeled. Pricey but a better investment than a play kitchen, in my opinion. Spans the ages better.

This was a gift for my 4 year old. She loves it! The instructions and pictures that came with it are some of the best of I have seen with a product like this. It took some time but was not frustrating like some toys. Very pleased! Melissa & Doug nailed it.

Parents probably freak out more than the kids, to be honest. Super cool set up and worth every penny! Kids are inspired to use their imaginations. Purchased for a small home daycare. Does take assembly and time, but instructions are very easy to follow and I was able to do it myself in under an hour or so.

This is the first toy assembly project that I have actually enjoyed. The other-brand kitchen I purchased left me swearing and in tears over pieces that didn't fit easily without drilling or manhandling. This product is excellent - instructions were clear, extra pieces provided, all the holes lined up and everything just fit together perfectly. I was able to complete it in about an hour without a drill, cordless screwdriver or a husband to help. It is sturdy, anti-tip and all in one piece. It is about 3 feet wide and about 2 feet deep, and fits in a small living room without being obtrusive. More importantly, my daughter is yelling supermarket right now for me to come play with her. She enjoys "˜scanning' and telling me my total, and demanding 10 coins for everything I buy - and is counting out all 10. It's been a great tool for taking turns, counting, exchanging pleasantries and learning manners ( please, thank you, nice to see you again!). We have most of the melissa and doug grocery items, including the cardboard box ones. Here's a tip - a lot of the packing material from this Fresh Mart is the perfect size to slip into those cardboard grocery boxes to keep them from crushing. I also sealed our boxes shut with clear packing tape so they last a little longer.

This is great quality and took my husband about 30 minutes to assemble. My kids love the scanner part and the card reader to sign on. It's a good size that leaves enough room for the kids to move around behind it but doesn't take up too much space in my home. Not much more than our play kitchen and we just pull it out from the wall when an adult has a turn being the cashier. We bought the market accessories and the little shopping basket with food. I'll be printing my own barcode stickers to place on the boxes so they can scan the barcodes.
