I love this backpack so much. I ordered it slightly last-minute and a little panicked just before a three-week European vacation. I needed something small enough for the carry-on requirements for my flights, and I'd be doing a lot of train travel and wanted something easier to transport than a small roller bag. This one had good reviews, but I was nevertheless worried that it might not hold up during all the moving around and repeated packings and unpackings, not to mention having to pack lighter than I had for any other trip of comparable length.

I needn't have worried! This bag checked all my boxes--it's super sturdy, looks great, and holds a lot more stuff than I thought, and it's got the bonuses of multiple carrying options while being the perfect in-between size to use both for travel and for everyday use. I'm actually looking forward to my next trip in part because I'll be able to enjoy the revelatory ease of backpack travel vs. my old suitcase ways. I really cannot recommend it enough!

The backpack itself is a really good product. Heavy duty feel to it with quality zippers. I've already used it on an International trip and it seems like it will hold up a long time. The problem with this item, and why I'm only giving it three stars, is the shoulder strap. First off it doesn't have any padding where it sits on your shoulder which makes it very uncomfortable when it's full and heavy. Not a big problem as I found a shoulder strap pad on Amazon that can be added on to the strap to solve that problem. The main problem with it is the plastic swivel snaps that attach the strap to the bag. One of them broke the first day in use as I was boarding onto the plane. I was able to improvise the attachment to work for my two week trip but it made the bag look old and very used when it was in fact a brand new item. I have since purchased a new shoulder strap with heavy duty metal swivel snaps that should last as long as this bag does. Why sell such a quality bag and put such a cheap shoulder strap on it?

This backpack is FANTASTIC for travel. I've used it 2x now- once for a weekend travel and once for 2 weeks of international travel to 5 countries. If you organize properly you can fit 6 days worth of clothes and toiletries easily in this bag. I've worn it while walking around London and Edinburgh for the entire day and had no problem- very comfortable! I'm 5'5 and my husband is 6'2 and we both think the Bag is comfortable to wear. Quality is good- these bags have taken a beating for the last 2 weeks and still look new- zippers are quality!

Best way to pack is get the "delicate laundry bags" from the dollar store (3 in a pack), fold your clothes flat and in outfits and put them in the bag- this bag can be frustrating if you don't pack it organized.

This is a great weekend or week travel bag. I bought this bag knowing I was going to be traveling to Italy for 10 days. I was able to back 8 t-shirts, 2 polos, 1 pair of pants, 1 pair of athletic shorts, 7 pairs of shorts, enough socks and underwear, 1 pair of loafers, toiletries, phone charger, and passport. The versatility of this bag is amazing. You can wear it as a back pack, throw it over you shoulder like a duffel bag, or carry it. The straps as very comfortable especially when you have to walk around a lot to get to places. It met the requirements for a carry on bag. The quality of the craftsmanship and material are superb for the price you pay (under $70). Plus if you are going for something vintage/rustic this met all my requirements.

But since I actually do like the bag, I'm going to let it slide. I've only had the bag for a few months, but I have taken it to Mexico for a week and Nicaragua for a week. My stuff fit just fine (I probably pack on the light side), and I had no problem with it as a carry-on. I really like the way it looks, and I've received several compliments. Note that the only way to open it is the one zipper along the side, so it's not going to unzip like a suitcase. The backpack straps make it easier to shuffle along at the crowded airport, and it's great if you have a checked bag you have to roll too. You can also use the bag for hiking or weekend trips.
