Worth It!

This will make fermenting saurkraut much easier! It may seem like just a stick, but, you try using just a fist! LOL It doesn't work so well with your hand.
Works very well!

Is big enough and long enough to work in every size fermenter jar and small enough to pack finished product in wide mouth jars. Have not used it enough to see if the brine soaks into wood after multiple uses.

I like the fact that it is longer than most pounders since I will be using it primarily on a five-gallon crock. My first impression out of the box is that it is well made. It reminds me of a Keystone Cop billy club. Hopefully, I will be using it for years to come.
A Hefty Kitchen Tool

I have made my first batch of sauerkraut! This is the perfect tool for working the salt into the cabbage, and for packing the jars. It's long enough to work in all sizes of canning jars, and heavy enough to get the job done without exerting a lot of energy.
Great pounder for making fermented veggies faster!
LK•February 21, 2018
This is a great tool for making fermented veggies. The size makes quick work of pounding the kraut so that it absorbs the salt and creates a brine. The length and diameter of the pounder is great, the length keeps your hands far away from banging on the pot and the diameter covers more surface are of the vegetables so less work. I highly recommend it!
