The trunk is as I expected. i added this to a 2011 Kawasaki Concours and I used different hardware than what came with the trunk due to the luggage rack being right on top of the brake light. I put a plug in the wires for the lights so that I can remove the box easier.

This trunk is made of plastic, not fiberglass like factory style trunks/saddle bags, but it holds up pretty well. I use it mainly to through my laptop bag in on my daily commute. The pictures with the dumbbells was me going around the corner for a workout. The dumbbells were a little excessive and you can tell the plastic was starting to change shape. Again, that is excessive for both the trunk and the luggage rack (limit on rack is supposed to be 22lbs.)

Overall, I like it. It's a good value for what I wanted to accomplish.

Easy to use. Looks good. Holds two full face helmets. Can easily carry a case of beer in it and a few additional groceries. (I use my Harley to go to the market every other day, and the box holds quite a bit.) great for trips as well. Sturdy and rain tight. Secure also. Has a red button to quick release and box can be carried like a piece of luggage. The red release button is outside, like another review stated,but"¦..the release button locks when you lock the case. It is totally secure and cannot be removed without the key. Keeps honest people at heart, honest.

Update. I just finished a ride from Merida to Tulum and drove over 100 miles in non-stop tropical downpour. My boots were completely full of water and I was drenched head to toe. Not a single drop of water was found inside this box. Not bad. Had to add this comment.

The media could not be loaded. This trunk is exactly what I was looking for in a trunk that fit the bike and not overly large. Added run, turn, LED lights to the lights the box came with, and it worked perfectly. Got the LED lights from Amazon for $16.00. There are other lights that may be brighter, but these worked fine. Also purchased a 5-wire trailer hitch extension with flat plugs that had 6 feet of wire , and used it for the harness from the bike wire harness to the trunk. I used the lights that came on the trunk for brake lights then added the run , turn lights. I also added a lining in the trunk to help prevent my helmet from damage.

The box was delivered on time and undamaged. I have yet to install it because I am making a custom mount for it. I am removing the passenger seat and the box is going in that location. I don't ride 2up so there is no need for this box to hang off the back of the bike.

The box seems sturdy enough and locking it is not bad, I just have to remember to push the latch forward when closing the latch. Of course this may be easier once mounted on the bike.

As others have stated it would be nice if the key was removable without locking the latch. It has plenty of space to carry things, I usually carry my helmet with me so the debate about what kind of helmets and how many will fit in the box is unimportant to me.

Update 9/28/22.
I finally got the box mounted on the bike this past weekend. The mounting system for this box works good but I feel that replacing the plastic mounting points with metal would be a better choice, however that would drive up the cost. So I will see how long it lasts.
