This is my second time purchasing this brand. The first one was the 10oz. It works great but too small for me. with a medium course grind I don't get any grounds. It comes with an extra screen. My only complaint is that it's made in China. I found an American brand but it was $60. Had to go with the more affordable one.

This French press is the best I have used. I really like that it is insulated metal and not glass. I broke my last glass one and this is way more durable and hold the hot temp very well. Good for making coffee and super easy to use. Glad I stumbled upon this product. Get and enjoy your hot coffee!

UPDATE: it has now been about 10 months or so of use. I bet you thought I was going to drift into a complaint session right? Nope. This baby looks EXACTLY like it did (well bar a few water spots on the inside) but the paint is still glorious. J/S for the money"¦

Lord have mercy. The whinging that is going on, that makes zero sense. This little press is solid and does the job. It is not a $200 press, so if you want that quality - feel free - there are those out there. This press will last you. It DOES keep keep coffee warm, but holy cow...THINK! You have to PRE-WARM the press. This is NOT rocket science. Oh, and btw, it is easy to clean. I have had a few times that pesky grounds stayed (sometimes not all the coffee is ground correctly) so I use a clean toothbrush expressly for cleaning it. It works great. This is great value and looks so pretty on my counter, not hideous like those glass ones.

After so many years of drinking 'regular' coffee, which heats and filters the water in plastic, I had no idea what a good cup of coffee should taste like. Coffee was just something to wake me up in the morning, not meant to be savored. I was so surprised by the delicious taste of my coffee the first morning I used my MIRA, that I drank it black, instead of my usual milk. I've mostly been drinking it black since then because I can really appreciate the nuances in the coffee, and I've been buying different brands from different regions, to appreciate the subtle flavors. I was worried that it was going to be a long process that I wasn't always up for in the morning, but I actually enjoy preparing it, and it takes just as long as the steps involved to make it in a typical coffee maker. I love that I can dump the grains outside, and I feel like I'm nurturing the earth, instead of wasting. The only thing I honestly miss is the sound and smell of coffee brewing. I thought about a percolator, but I opted for this, because I have so much more control over the process, and I like to experiment with flavors. My primary reason for purchase was to stop heating water and food in plastic. Plastic is toxic, especially when heated. This is solid stainless steel. Love it! UPDATE: After over five years of using this every single day (even taking it on camping trips!) it still looks and works like brand new. This morning I was pouring my coffee and thinking about what an amazing purchase this ended up being. As a token of my appreciation for this awesome product, I figured I'd stop back and update my review. This is the first time I've ever updated a review, but I feel it's really worth it to let people know that this item stood the test of time. As far as I can tell, it's indestructible. I'm sure I'll be using it for another ten years, or maybe even forever??

Obviously it's cute! But it's also sturdy. I had so many glass French presses break with little provocation. No more. I use it for hot coffee, Cold brew and rare occasions loose tea. Good quality. No shards of glass in the sink
