I bought because I saw one similar to this lava spiral timer and use it for stress relief. Watching the green bubbles(mine is green) go around and around is very soothing for me.

My son loves watching the bubbles drop down and spends quite a bit of time just lying down and watching it. It's heavier than I thought it would be and made of really thick plastic. It will survive dropping onto a wooden floor ... multiple times! My toddler was mesmerized by it as soon as it got out of the box and kept watching it drop down the spiral. He picks it up at least once a day to watch it. Sometimes he'll watch it for a long time and sometimes he'll just watch it for less than a minute. We got the yellow and blue one, which I think you just get sent one randomly. I was surprised when I only got 1 toy, but when I went back to the page, it says that it's only for one. So that's my fault for thinking there was 3 in this set. That being said, I think it's a little on the pricey side for just 1 toy. However, it seems pretty durable and gets my son to sit still for at least 10 minutes at a time just shaking it and watching it drop from one side to the other, so we will keep it!

It's neat, and reminds me of when I was a kid. Only problem is that there must be some sort of leak in the seal on one of the sides, because now instead of one normal sized bubble, there are now two spots that drop 2 teeny sized bubbles. It's not an issue, but I've only had this a few weeks. I imagine it's only a matter of time before the entire seal breaks, and this thing comes apart.
