I also like the two levels of light output

The lumens put out and length of service before battery change. I also like the two levels of light output. The one thing I don't like is that before you can shut off the light you have to go through the strobe function which is annoying. There should be a separate switch to turn the strobe on and off.

I will be honest I was a little skeptical about the size of these lanterns. After I put fresh batteries in and went out side to try them in the dark, I immediately became impressed. These lanterns put out a lot of light even at the lowest light setting. Just take your time putting the batteries in correctly and putting the bottom cap back on. these lanterns feel very sturdy and made very well to handle camping and hiking.
I would of liked to be able to turn the light off completely ...

The level of brightness, but there is a green light that illuminates all the time that will drain the batteries, I would of liked to be able to turn the light off completely to save the batteries which get costly.

Seems rugged, solidly made with shock resistant qualities. I like the potential of days of use from 3 D cell batteries, using the lower light setting.
The leds do seem to be 700 lumens as advertised.
