My house was filled with flies. I zapped 3 flies. I don't know what became of their body. I looked forward to killing some more. But in 2 days there were no more flies. I think there is communication. The flies got the message when they saw their friends get killed. I don't know how they communicated once dead. I once had flea bites just awful all over my legs. I ate yeast. In 38 years I have never had another flea bite, live is same location. They must have told their relatives her blood tastes awful, go somewhere else. But I dont know how a zapped fly told the others to go away. But they were all gone in 2 days.

Ordered a couple of two-packs to make sure our outdoor party was a success. Of course, I forgot to open them until the day of the party, so I can't tell you just how long it takes to charge one, but every time I screeched to a halt and checked the light, it was time to plug in the next. (Love that a light tells you when it's fully charged.) Each comes with their own charging cord so if you have several wall-outlet to USB adapters you can charge them all at one. Party started at 5:00pm. The kids kept us safe from mosquitoes all night long, and they were still going strong at midnight.

Cons: The protective mesh was bent down into the electric screen on one unit and the edge of the mesh had come loose on another. Both were easily fixed in under two minutes with a pair of tweezers. And... kids should be told not to swat bugs sitting on branches! Small sticks will penetrate the protective mesh and fry spots on the electric screen. It still works, but just not in that spot.

Charge it, turn it on, hold down a button . . . and zap the bugs dead. It's just that easy.

This is truly a great idea. I live in Florida, where the mosquitoes are sometimes relentless, especially at dusk. If I'm going to be outside for awhile, I wear repellant, no problem, but sometimes you want to go outside without having to douse yourself in chemicals . . . and this Bug Zapper makes that possible. Take the dog out for a break, zap the mosquitoes. Need to smoke a cigarette? No problem, grab the Zapper. Need to get something out of the shed? Take the Zapper.

To test it, I went outside after charging the battery. One side of my house is always shaded and covered in wet leaves. It's a mosquito haven. I went outside in shorts, around to the side of the house, kicked up some wet leaves and the Zapper did it's thing. It was like Forth of July. I stood out there for maybe fifteen minutes, zapping bugs. I got only one mosquito bite. Without the Zapper, I would have been covered in mosquito bites.

It's safe to use, too. The part that zaps the bugs is actually "inside", between each layer of mesh. Also, you have to hold down a button to zap the bugs, so it's impossible to accidently hurt someone or yourself.

I love that it's rechargeable, too. No batteries to go replace. I highly recommend this product.

wow, i feel a little guilty for the pleasure i get killing flying bugs with this thing. such a satisfying zap sound when you connect with your tiny winged tormentor. so, where i was camped a huge swarm of those tiny knats came directly into my camper before i could close the screen. i took this raquet inside and rubbed it over the soft surfaces- blankets and rugs- and listened to the snap crackle pop of tons of the unseen critters lurking there. waving this thing around over your head in a knat cloud is much fun. only thing is, i was not prepared for the singed-hair smell of burnt bugs, yuk. works really well, lasts for many, many little jolts- have not needed to recharge yet. four stars as i have only used a dozen or so times so far.

My husband and I, our family and friends are all crazy in love with this bad boy !! Great quality for the money, long lasting battery. We've been living in Puerto Rico and it was a life saver after hurricane Maria had plowed the island and mosquitos were absolutely killing everyone, little annoying creatures (there was an insane shortage of ANY bug sprays and repellents on the island. Any. None. Nowhere.).
