Great product for extra clarity and equanimity
Amazon Customer•June 8, 2018
I'm all-in on medicinal mushrooms after getting this thrive blend and also the lion's mane one by Freshcap. I've been taking them in the morning and afternoon for a couple weeks now, generally one scoop of each, though a little heavier on the thrive and lighter on the lion's mane later in the day since I feel like Thrive is more balancing and calming and the lion's mane is more energizing. I've heard people say you only get the effects if you stick with it for a while, but I could feel something from early on. I'm interested to see if the effects change in some way once I've been taking it longer.
I put it in hot water with raw cacao powder, honey and a little bit of ghee that I infused with brahmi, gotu kola and turmeric to give the brain an extra boost. It's delicious, everybody.
So have I noticed an improvement in brain function? Absolutely yes, or at least something going on up there. ..though I imagine it's probably more from the lion's mane than anything else (which is also a component of Thrive, but of course only 1/6th the volume). I think I can credit the thrive specifically (maybe it's the reishi) with a greater sense of healthy detachment, equanimity and general clarity about the choices I am making with my time and with my life, which to me makes me value this blend more than the pure lion's mane one. It induces a state that's conducive to meditation and mindfulness, as others have said and my practice has improved since I started taking it, though it's impossible to prove any causation of course.
tldr; this is an amazing product and has been the single most helpful supplement I've incorporated into my regimen. Highly recommend.

Really relaxes the mind and relieves a lot of stress

I haven't felt any extra focus from these. They don't seem to make me any more alert or awake.
Now, why the four stars. These are great for creating a sense of calm. I feel less anxious and annoyed about things. Also, in the two weeks of taking these, I've noticed I have more uninterrupted sleep. They relax your brain from overthinking.
If you're wanting a product that helps ease the stress on your mind without making you sleepy, this is the one. Normally relaxing the mind comes with also making you drowsy. This product accomplish the job without that effect. Very rare.

Great taste, mix with coffee or tea. Don't be afraid to try a higher dose, I personally take 2 teaspoons a day and add in an extra teaspoon of pure red reishi powder and an extra teaspoon of lions mane. I feel like a feather.
Noticing effects on the first day... will continue use & periodically update my review.

I'm 29 and have trouble using the right words and lose my train of thought at times. I don't have the best memory for life experiences. Always learning, I came across Paul Stamets on Joe Rogan's podcast and found mushrooms intriguing. I listened to many more Paul Stamets discussions so I figured to give an organic non-China (bad pollution & regulations) product a chance. P.S. It may be a good idea to stay away from portabella mushrooms.
I was mainly interested in the Chaga (heavy metal extract) & Lion's Mane (Alzheimer's & Dementia runs in the family) mushrooms but figured the Cordyceps energy boost wouldn't hurt for a start to my work each morning rather than unnecessarily pounding caffeine-coffee.

I'm at work on a Monday today and notice the equanimity that the top reviewed poster was talking about. This must be the Reishi taking effect. I feel more centered, more in-the-moment- a feeling you'd get after a meditation session. Time "slows down" in this state. Less worry, less anxiety. Not worrying about the future too much because you're in the present. I caught myself biting my nails the moment my finger touched my mouth at which point I stopped myself. This doesn't really happen until after I'm already biting them (habitual, bad I know) at which point I'm committed. I'm in a very collected state right now which drove me to write this review.
This Reishi seems to be very effective on my ADHD as well. I'm catching myself 'bouncing my knee' and I've even fake yawned a few times because my mind is not used to not racing. I'd be very interested to know if this is solely the Reishi or if this is other items as well. If anyone has this similar experience and knows, please comment back. I may consider buying a Reishi bag.
I tried the sole Lion's Mane product yesterday and noticed a feeling in my brain (neurogenesis?) that I did not feel today. I doubt this means that it is not working in THRIVE 6 but just wanted to share that.
The only drawback on this product is the bag construction and portion size. The bag does not reseal well but I cannot fault FreshCap for the size (60g listed) but they could do a better job of representing it. Neither is worth taking a star from the product.
I will be back to post more on the effects of this after a longer impact. Note: my update going forward will be with the understanding that I'm taking the Lion's Mane every day along with THRIVE 6 throughout the work week.

I've tried almost all the mushrooms on amazon. Sacred 7, four sigmatic, host defense, etc... none compare. Not to bash those companies, just a comparison to thrive. I am very holistic towards my health. I work out daily and compete in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My diet and sleep are on point. But I do still have stress, I'm a full time college student and if there is anything I could tell an athlete, student, or everyday person to take... it'd be mushrooms. I swear by them, and for good reason. I haven't gotten sick in 2 years. Now, I haven't used thrive for 2 years but I can tell thrive is top notch quality, the smell, the taste, is amazing. Add it to anything, I especially love adding it to stir fry if your short on whole mushrooms. Someone from my BJJ circle the other day asked "if you could be sponsored by one company who would it be?" I told them thrive. I don't need gear, I don't need chemical filled supplements, I need stuff that works. Thrive you got a long time customer... my one gripe... a slightly bigger bag. But if that ups the price, keep the bag. Cause I think I speak for everyone when I say we like the price where it's at.
