This is the BEST Caulk Gun I've ever used, the frame is solid with wide closed ends that support the Caulk tubes holding them in place. The handles are cast rather than pressed sheet metal, they are also plastic dipped for comfort and grip. The drive clips are doubled to insure smooth solid operation. The release tab that removes pressure on the Caulk tube works easy without fighting free. If you want the best hand operated caulk gun it doesn't get much better than this.

This is about triple the price of the typical mid level caulking gun at a big box store.
There are some features that may make it worth it.
The biggest difference I have found with it is the screw adjustment to the squeeze mechanism. I have not seen another that has this feature. You can dial in the action to give the best performance and feel. This is a great feature and perhaps makes the higher price worthwhile. You can dial it in a get a good strong action with a good let off on release. This helps reduce the amount of excess flow out the tube after release. This is very important to a good caulk job.
The rest of the tool seems to be very well made. All of the component are quality made.
I like the rubber coating on the handles as they are soft, give good grip, and don't seem like they will come off.
The plunger wire is not long enough IMO, and I don't care for the handle location. I much prefer a longer one and one that is on the main tube body of the tool. If you cut your tips really small you may it doesn't reach far enough in to puncture the seal or you end up having to bend and mar of the tip of the tube while shoving it into the pivoting rivet of the wire. It also can get caulking all of the handle area and thus to your hands and all over everything. I would like to see a company create an improved poker.
As long as you keep this caulk gun cleaned up it should perform and last a long time. Keep the metal lightly oiled and free of caulking buildup for best results. Overall good design.
