The lock is not opening on the second bag although the big bag was unlocked. What kind of crazy is that?

So far I am having an impossible time . I got open the largest bag because it was not locked. The second bag was locked and I am reaching out in the questions and here for additional help. They do seem sturdy from what I can see so far but the orange is not pretty like the picture. It is totally recognizable as Working Stop orange or unfortunately some crime scenes. I wanted it to be easily seen and it certainly is that. IBut the most frustrating is the lock situation. For some reason I missed the lock problems in the reviews because I was comparing the TSA with non TSA, deciding if the TSA lock was worth another $50. I had no idea a non TSA lock would be impossible to open. Anyone who has solved this problem would be doing a great service by sharing a solution other than breakage. I have to leave for Mexico on Tuesday
