This fountain is a lot of fun, I have never had something like this before. You don't need to worry about wasting electricity and getting painful bill for the electricity. The only thing I have to worry is buying a birds bath, since I have such functional water device.
I tried it and I would like to tell you my experience. The fountain works only when the sun is directly above. Even if you approach and it becomes under the shadow it stops pumping water. Also, if the water is. It enough it stops working too. I tested it in te plate, so when the water was spread in the backyard, te fountain had nothing to pump. I need to find wider water dish that the water could rotate. Also it may be good for the pool. I will test it in my mother's in law pool, because I don't have one.
The set has several attachments that let you control the streams of water.
I think the sound of running water is very relaxing and will benefit to my garden.
You need to keep water clean that the pump didn't get anything into it. I am saitified with my purchase.

Didn't like the way it worked in my bird bath (basin too small, kept blowing the water out and emptying bath), so I moved it to my pool. My pool is in full sun so it is working really well there. I like the different nozels make different spray patterns, and when sun is high the fountain gets about 18 in high. Im thinking I might get a couple more, as it's small to just have one, and my pool will be so pretty.

Pretty neat (and affordable) solar fountain. The only design flaw is that the spray nozzle openings are quite small, which makes the fountain spray pretty high (at least for a bird bath). This is not an issue if you use this on a pond, but I found that the wind was blowing away the sprayed water and therefore emptying the bird bath. I simply use it without the "shower head" and works great.

Several attachments didn't fit, making me wonder if an essential piece was missing. However, I was able to assemble one spray option, and it worked for about a week. No measures after that would get it to work, despite abundant sunshine and water. Don't waste your money.

This is such a cute idea! I purchased this to take on our trip South for my inlaw's garden. The last time that I was at their home, their birdbath was full of green brown slime around the inside, gross! I don't think that they ever clean or changed the water! I like the sound of trickling and falling water plus I figured that this would be a helpful and fun to watch gift for them. I've already set it up as trial run to see how it works so that I am prepared when I get to their place. I had not realized prior to my purchase that there are several 'heads' enclosed to change the water's pattern. I think that they will find this fun watching me 'demonstrate' the different heads until they decide which that they like best. There is a solar eye on the power source connected by a very short cord to the underside. I don't foresee any problems with the design and I'm not able to do a dry run (lol!) under my current weather conditions. I have already tucked a small couple time's use of E-6000 glue inside the box as I am not certain if what I think is hot glue on the underside will hold the pump portion to the base in hot heat of the South. Easy fix though but I am going to wait and see if the hot glue does hold first. Directions are easy to understand and I won't need them again as I already assembled and then unassembled this to put back in its box for the drive. I'll attach some photos here to show the different snap on heads that change the spray pattern so you get an idea of what I was referring to.
