I don't know why but my kids absolutely love this toy. Our local library had a set and they would play with them every time we went so I got a set for Easter baskets this year. It's months later and my kids keep coming back to it. As soon as I put it on the shelf their immediately pulling it back out. My daughter (4) likes to pretend cook with them or set up Easter egg hunts. My youngest (almost 2) is enamored with taking them apart and putting them back together. I love that it's been such an open ended toy. I never would've guessed. The container the come in is actually pretty sturdy and think plastic, which I appreciate. Anyways, would definitely recommend these!

My 3 yr old loves these eggs. We have only had them a day but have already figured out several different ways to play with them that are both fun and educational. Of course there is the obvious number recognition and counting. Also color recognition and matching. One of the best games is Memory. We take six of the eggs, split them up and mix them up face down. Then arrange them in a grid. And we take turns flipping them over to try to make matches. I look forward to coming up with more uses for these eggs.
The eggs are not too difficult for him to assemble and help him work on his motor skills. They feel pretty sturdy and durable. The yellow plastic carton is also well made and a great holder for the toy.
My only gripe would be the number font used for 6 and 9. Unfortunately, they are exactly the same so if confuses my little guy if one is upside down. (See photo) Granted, you can tell the difference from the numbers of pegs or holes, but my little guy doesn't think like that yet. Would be great if there was a better differentiation, or even a line underneath to show which is right side up.

My almost 4 year old STILL plays with this

Ok so I bought this when my son was a year old and folks, I'm happy to report that he is turning 4 next month and is STILL playing with this. He has come up with a million different ways to play with this. At first, he played with it as most babies do, but now he uses it as a soccer ball for his trucks, hides them and we do a pretend Easter egg hunt in the house, uses them as loads for his construction trucks, etc. It's a staple in our house and never gets put away.
