I have 2 sets of Harbor Freight Baker's scaffolding that I hadn't used in years. I need to stack them to reach my ceilings, but HF does not offer a guardrail kit. I had rented scaffolding before with the guardrail so I knew the sizes were nearly identical. After painting all my ceilings without a guardrail and actually surviving... I bought this when I had to go back up... I'm several years older with a kid now, so I didn't want to orphan her! This was the best investment I could have made. This guardrail system is very well built, thick metal, finish is great, fit perfectly, and completely changed how it felt to be on top of 2 sets of scaffolding.. I may even try 3 (with the outriggers that I will buy next). You can substitute bolts and nuts for the pins if you want to make it more stable - there is always some movement in all the pinned joints, but not bad at all. The guardrail feels firmly mounted with just the provided latch pins. This should fit any brand of bakers scaffolding of the same size. Seller got it to me much faster than the estimated date. When it arrived, the box was destroyed... but much to my surprise the guardrail didn't even have a scratch on it. This is the best price I have found anywhere, after a significant online search.

First, mine arrived missing the assembly bolts and pins. No hardware pack at all. So I had to improvise and the bolts I had on hand are slightly larger than what would have come with the kit, but they did just fit. Once assembled the railing is sturdy enough to grab on to when climbing the scaffold and will keep you in place, but it does wobble considerably. Slightly less so once both end gates are locked in place, but still a bit. The lack of stars in my rating is mostly due to the missing hardware pack.
Update: I contacted the manufacturer directly via email about the missing hardware and after some quick verification of purchase and what was missing, they shipped out the replacements the next day. Very good customer service.

Apparently the shipper damaged the original railing which was returned by the shipper before it got to me. The order was automatically cancelled with a refund. I ordered a 2nd railing and was expecting another 3 day wait. However, it must have been expedited because I got it 2 days early.

Just as I thought it would be. For what it is, it is light and easy to assemble 2 or 3 baker scaffolds high. Lots of reviewers expect this not to move at all. That is unreasonable. It is made to be quick to assemble and give you a hand hold reference for balance. It is more psychological, in my opinion. Not designed to withstand someone pushing or hanging on it. But it should certainly help correct a mis-step. I would surely purchase it again. I feel very secure at 18 feet with my scaffolds.
