Lights stayed on when we lost power, easy to install
Kitrina K.✓ Verified Purchase•October 4, 2023
This light is awesome! I installed in it my hallways and kitchen and my lights stayed on when we lost power in the recent storm. It was easy to install, and I'm telling all my friends to get this too. I also liked the soft white light, so it wasn't too harsh of lighting in the kitchen. Highly recommend!
Stays on all night!

I put one of these in the bathroom which is dark when the power goes out. Especially at night. It stays on all night. Can't be turned off when you go to bed.
*One issue that no one is talking about. Otherwise this thing is great.

Before buying this i saw a handful of questions and reviews stating that these are not working at all. This is not true. It's not working due to a operator error...and not sufficiently understanding how the technology works. THE UNIT HAS TO SENSE A TOTAL POWER LOSS ORIGINATING AT THE FIRST POINT OF DISCONNECT ON YOUR HOUSE. If you just simply turn off the breaker for the circuit that the light is on, it will not cause it to go into battery mode. However if you turn off the power to the entire house, IT WILL! (This test might not be achievable in a apartment building. Depends on how the building is wired.) The main thing to remember is it is looking for a TOTAL HOUSE POWER OUTAGE.
Now with that being said, if you turn off the power to the entire house and the battery backup light still isn't turning on, then make sure the wall light switch is on. If so, the light will illuminate. If the wall switch is off...it will not. It is looking for 1. A house with no power 2. A complete circuit. When a light switch is in the down position, it breaks the circuit (breaking the flow of electricity). However when the switch is up, it allows electricity to flow to the light. Even though the power is off, and there will be not electricity flowing to the light...the light is still looking for that complete circuit before it will turn on.
Hope this Helps!

received the light and was impressed on the actual function of it. I installed it as per the instruction manual and recently we had an outage and it came on ! best thing about it was it lasted the whole time the power was out and you cant tell the difference between this light and all my other ones. fits in perfectly. all around 5 stars !
love them!
