I bought a total of four ocarinas, as I had played them in the past and rediscovered the joy of them and also the need for one to help as a pitch pipe for my voice to sing in different keys. Of all the four I bought, including a $100 one, this one is the best. It is the best in tune, the easiest to place fingers, it produces the best sound, including the higher notes that were significantly harder on the higher priced ones. I'm no expert by any means, but I come from a long line of professional musicians who make their living by playing music, and I play by ear as well as others do by sheet music. For the price, this is an excellent ocarina. I highly recommend it for the price. And it is also pretty. That's the icing.

Take my review with a grain of salt since I'm not like someone who's been playing for years or anything however the higher notes sound a bit squeaky but and honestly it's still pretty fun to play and learn with until I can get a higher quality ocarina :)

I never used a Ocarina before, so I am learning right now. The reason I purchased it is to play it when I visit a cemetery. She loved the Amazing Grace. But, my fingers are narrow, so hard to hold holes, but I like the sounds of this Ocarina, so decided to keep. I am learning right now and hoping that I can play it beautifully soon for her ... :>)

I have not owned an ocarina nor played one. (But I had played a flute long ago since an ocarina is still a wind instrument) I am a sound editor/designer, I bought this ocarina to make an oceanic call for an underwater creature. These were the sounds I was looking for, and the ocarina I got seemed well pitch but a few notes can be tricky as you have to angle yourself a certain way in playing it or adjust your breathing. Above all, this was worth my money, these are fine quality! ^^

This is a really beautiful ocarina, and it came better packages that I expected"”as in, the outside packaging was a standard cardboard delivery box, but inside, the ocarina was in another box and enclosed in a nice, solid, black carrying case. I thought it would come in the bag in the photos, so I was worried about protection, but it was fine.

So far, it plays pretty nicely, but the high B and C are flat. I've been recommended to return this and just shell out the money for an STL or Noble ocarina instead, but I'm not sure if I want to spend that sort of money when I'm just starting our and unsure of how long I will keep playing for. For a beginner ocarina, this is pretty nice, especially for the price point. It looks great, it mostly sounds pretty good, it's little airier than I'd like so the songs don't sound very crisp but maybe that's a pro for some people, and the high notes definitely require more air and effort and volume. Overall, well-packaged and will do for casual use, but if you have a good ear for pitch, you probably want to invest in something more accurate.
