Side note: Anyone complaining about how "floppy" or "cheap" the wire feels doesn't know what they're talking about. This is silicone-insulated wire, which is always more "floppy" than the more ubiquitous PVC-insulated wire. Silicone insulation has a higher melting temperature than PVC, and a matte appearance as opposed to the rubbery, glossy look of PVC.

The actual review: If they put the wire through the holes, then taped down the ends of the wire for shipping, it'd be perfect. Feeding it through the holes was a massive pain, but I'd say the end result is helpful. It looks super tangly inside the box but it feeds perfectly well. Perfect for DIYers like me who are low on space, but still need stranded-core wire in an assortment of colors.

I do a lot of guitar amp building and this is the best wire I've bought on Amazon that is rated for 600 volts. I love the silicone insulation. Makes the wire very flexible. The gauge seems appropriate also. It takes solder very well. Just forget about feeding the wire thru the holes in the box - doesn't work! No big deal.

I bought them because they said 600 volt, but there is no indication on the packaging/wire that they are actually safe for this.
They are all the correct gauge, and the wire is very flexible.

The wires work as expected, however I have a few niggles with varying degrees of severity. Mildly severe is the level of effort involved in setting up the box. Each reel must be untaped individually, then strung through their according hole while trying to keep all of them feeding through without falling out. The wooden dowel keeping the reels together makes this slightly more challenging, and even once this process has been completed, the wires have a rather unfortunate propensity towards "noodling" unless cut very short. The slightly more troubling bother lies in the odor which seems to be emanating from whatever plastic/rubber product the wire jackets are composed of. Of all the scents I've smelled in my relatively short life thus far, the foul chemical whiff from these wires is by far the most authentically carcinogenic. I'm afraid that just in the process of handling this box and having it on my desk, I've drastically shortened my lifespan and decimated brain cells vital to my maturation from adolescent to adult. I dare not say what might happen if I tried to solder this wire and accidentally melted the jacket in the process. Suffice to say, I don't think I'll be using this in many of my projects, since I'd rather the burning smell be that of overworked electronics and not my own neurons dying off. Fun colours though!
