Waste of money. The remote will not work if the light is underwater. One light last a week and stop working. It leaked and was full of water. Not worth the time or effort.
Updated review, I was refunded my money. But, the company did reach out to me with my issue. They replaced the lights free of charge, received today. They do appear to care about the products they sell. Will see how these lights work. Hopefully, no more updated reviews. Thanks guys for listening and replacing lights.

I actually used these outdoor lights for the wall behind my computer deskspace. They look nice lit up and since the wires are thin they look like small stars in the dark. I bought the outdoor ones because I assumed they would be more durable. I haven't had them very long yet so I cannot write a full review as of now and may update this review if I ever run into problems. For now they look nice and suit my need. Note though, they do not come with the three AA batteries that they require to run, so make sure you have some laying around your house. My only complaint is that the string wires are very thing and rolled up into circles and can easily become a tangled mess when you take them out, but that is if you just toss them out of the package like i did :) not anything major as of yet. Good buy.

I bought the smaller version of this product last year and I use them frequently. I loved the idea of having a remote to operate the lights. I used the lights outside in a Christmas display as the flame for a candy cane candle display. Using the fade button and the yellow color they were perfect candle flames! Sadly, the remote quit working - I suspect it had trouble getting through the plastic top of the 'candle'. However, one purpose of the lights was to light the way to our hot tub using a remote; so when the weather is more co-operative I'll give it another try. The lights are amazingly bright, they are weatherproof, and the colors are very pretty. I hope the remote will work if there's no interference because I'd buy this product again for camping!

Got them for our halloween party...for being so cheap they look great! The effect in the ice was cool. I had doubts about being waterproof, but they were fine. Also, we put one in clear glass our skull to give it some cool glowing effects. I have inserted a grid of that, a long with one of it's colors showing in their true look (tried to get it as accurate as possible. The only downside is the yellow LED looks a bit green, and pink & purple seem to not be what they should be, so I have labeled the innacurate colors to avoid confusion. But for the price, really great! They are quite large, so dont buy these if you are planning to use them for a vase or floral arrangements....get flora-lights for that, they are very bright and last forever! However, they are not strong enough to light up walls like up-lighting...I tried that too, and failed. They need 3 "AAA" batteries, and the remote also needs a battery...they are not included. However, the remote battery is a standard LR 2032, which if nothing else you can probably take out of one of your LED tea light candles. I got 2 for $1 at dollar tree (sunbeam brand), and they worked just fine in the remote.
