Does not work properly.....
Muzaffar Ismailov•March 14, 2018
Bought it last month and it took about an hour to install. I have the manual transmission One BIG problem i have is that when you switch to reverse gear, it shows front camera view and it gets stuck showing reverse view when the gear stick is in neutral position. I tried literally everything to get it fixed ranging from switching the circuits and changing wires, and it does not help. Also, I should mention that there is no loop recording, so it does NOT record once your sd card is full, You have to format your micro SD manually once it gets full by clicking FORMAT button in order to start the camera recording. The message pops up that your SD is full until you format it. The seller LIED by stating it has a loop recording.I called the customer service, and had communication issues as they spoke very poor English. The image quality is not Full HD as claimed and the image quality literally sucks. Moreover there are no G-senso, parking guard and motion detecters functions. So annoyed with this camera.. Save your money and buy a better one at this price range with all of the above funtions. This is probably the worst experience!!! I only bought it as it was amazon's choice but it really sucks
I like this front/rear view camera BUT the lack of a G-Sensor and the rear view camera were sore spots...

I really liked this camera. It has a great front camera quality, the mirror was good and the screen was very nice. The price was good too.
However, the two biggest hangups were no G-Sensor and the rear camera left a lot to be desired. With no G-Sensor, in an accident, you miss out on any recording of an accident while parked or away from your car and if you are in an accident, you always need to remember to press the lock button to save the video. Honestly, when I'm in an accident, remembering to press the lock button won't be my first thought and if I'm hurt and unable to press it in time, I am out of luck. This was the number one hangup on this device for me. The other was the backup camera doesn't output great quality video, which would have been ok, but the viewing angle is very small at only 90 degrees too. That doesn't give you a very big field of view. The bracket they give you for the rear camera isn't adjustable either, unless you actually bend it, which isn't a good thing.
Pros
Great, large quality screen
Front video was very good.
Mirror was good too when screen was off.
Great price
Cons
No G-Sensor(this was a big minus as it is really needed for what the camera is for)
Rear camera not great quality video
Poor field of view on rear camera(only 90 degrees)
Rear camera bracket isn't easily adjustable
For the price, I would have been ok with the rear camera issues, but the lack of a G-Sensor just was too much of a hangup for what a dash cam is supposed to be for. They REALLY need to add a G-Sensor.

A Very Cool Front Dash Cam and Rear Cam Option!
kurtchief•February 23, 2018
I've tried out a number of dash cams, and although they have generally worked OK I've always disliked how noticeable they are in my front window. When I saw this one I knew I stumbled across something better, and I was right!
Whether you're looking for a great dash cam option for your car and/or want a good backup camera solution this mirror has you covered! The rubber clamps on the back stretch to fit over almost any mirror out there. It even mounted fine over my thick GM mirror! I was worried the camera lens would be stuck behind my existing mirror but it cleared it just fine. If you want a quick setup and don't care about hiding the power cord you can have the front dash cam installed and working in a couple of minutes. The rear camera requires running the cord from the back of your vehicle up to the mirror and connecting it to your reverse light. Again the rear camera is optional, and personally I think this is worth the cost just for the front camera.
It's easy to get up and running too - just insert a micro SD card and connect the power. It will start recording automatically! I love the touchscreen interface on it. It's very simple and easy to use.
One thing to note is that the mirror doesn't function well as a mirror when the camera view is on, so after you get it all setup the way you want it I'd advise setting the video feed to turn off after a short duration. It will continue to record.
Another feature to mention is that you can easily disable the mic still there no audio when it records and it will remember your setting even if you unplug it.
The last thing I wanted to mention is an alternative use for the rear camera. Since I already have a rear view camera that displays in my radio screen I mounted the included rear camera right above the mirror, which allows me a great view of the back seat to keep an eye on my kids without having to turn around and take my focus away from the road. The reverse lines don't even come on since the backup wire isn't hooked up.
I uploaded a video taken from the front camera and the inside "nanny" camera so you could see some sample footage. Both video footage was recorded simultaneously by the device.
So far I'm very pleased with this product. It's been working well for me. Installation was easy and I love how discreet and factory it looks in my vehicle. It was the perfect choice to fill my needs!

Awesome unit

Great item to have when you want evidence of your driving before, during and after an accident. Not to mention my 2012 Chrysler 300s did not come with the backup camera so having it combined with the mirror always keeps my head up looking in the mirror (instead of looking down at radio monitor) while backing into a parking spot.
Features of this item are very nice having the ability to see and also record both ends of the car while driving. Granted it does not activate from motion detection (personal choice) but as long as you don't park your car somewhere questionable then you will be fine. There are tons of these units being sold everywhere so make sure to do your research and pick the one you would be happy with.
