Our guest said it was comfortable to sleep on.
Lockman2017•February 3, 2018
The bed is easy to assemble, with the exception of the corner braces at each of the four corners. They were difficult to properly latch, with one requiring a rubber mallet to both hook and unhook it. Other than that, the bed went together smoothly with only a few parts to install. Our house guest who slept on the bed said it was comfortable so, for that reason alone, it gets a thumbs-up. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because of the difficulty with the corner braces.
I lay down upon it and I am 6' 3" and feel reasonably certain that I would get a good night's sleep upon it

I just received this bed so it is untested for wear and tear, but I must say I am initially impressed with its quality and construction. Please remember it is after all a "folding bed" and not your high-priced bedroom set. I lay down upon it and I am 6' 3" and feel reasonably certain that I would get a good night's sleep upon it. The mattress is as described, not more, no less. The four inch thickness will obviously not make your form fitted sheets exceedingly taut but I don't obsess about those things. (Use flat sheets if this is a concern with military cornering.) I purchased the twin size frame and there are no springs to break which was a concern of mine from reading other reviewers' experiences with bed springs. I was delighted with how easy it was to set-up. All the pieces (some screws and tools) were included and the instructions were clear (with diagrams!). Delivery and packaging were competent and timely. At this point in time I have nothing but satisfaction and contentment with the purchase. The months ahead could change my mind if the durability of the bed declines, but as of the present I highly recommend this product, especially for the purpose for which it is intended.
The Milliard Diplomat Folding Bed is packaged very well for shipping.

The bed was packaged in a box inside another box. The foam mattress was rolled tightly to reduce space requirements. The metal frame consisted of 5 hinged sections which folded up very compactly for shipping. I was very concerned that the bed could come damaged during shipping; but the packaging was excellent. I won't be as concerned next time. Assembly was very easy.
The bed frame is bolted and welded together and very sturdy. The two inch diameter caster wheels roll well on vinyl or wood flooring, but not so well on thick carpet. Each wheel has a lever lock on it which might be useful, if the bed is stored on an inclined floor.
Since the foam mattress arrived in the cold of winter, it took several hours to expand to full size. My wife really liked the feel of the mattress.
I would definitely purchase the Milliard Diplomat folding bed again.

The bed itself is OK, however, when you fold the bed for storage and try to engage the clasp that holds both sides together, it is not strong enough. The bed keeps opening and won't stay in the closed position. After the first few tries, the clasp broke. Contacted the company to ask if they can provide a replacement clasp which is stronger and would hold the bed in the closed position. Never heard back from them.....
Great folding bed. You'll love it, and want to sleep on it, instead of your own box spring mattress

This is a well made folding bed. It is worth the cost. The frame is wire and strong. The foam mattress is firm and more comfortable than my spring mattress. I purchased another one for another family member. Easy to assemble. I don't have anything bad to say
