Easy to hookup!
Melinda B.•May 31, 2018
This was an extreamly easy hookup. We had a spare dish receiver from where we unhooked a TV upstairs that we weren't using. We did not opt for the RV package, but are very happy with the results. All of "˜our' channels on the road, in less than 5 minutes. Our only complaint is the length of cable (included) is usually not long enough to get signal, as we are mostly in wooded areas when camping. An "˜on the go' system should include 50-75 feet of cable to our nature that you can get the satellite reception. We spend an additional $30 for longer cable.
Choose this one you wont be sorry

This product is Great. I purchased it to replace a king tailgater that would take forever to sink up to the satellites if it could find them. When I called King they wanted $350 just to look at it plus shipping to and from plus parts and $85 /hr labor. The playmaker was easy to set up. I had no problems. I was able to use the cable "in" on the outside of my travel trailer and put the receiver inside using the onboard wiring. I started the sync process. It took less than 10 minutes had all 3 satellites plus all the updates since I had not used the receiver since last fall. I am using a Dish 211z receiver. I am very impressed with this dish. I highly recommend. I did use the DishformyRv app to make sure I had clear view of the satellites. I was truly impressed with the speed of set up compared to the tailgater. I just hope to get several years from it.
would recommend it to anyone

Item did not have coax.
James Kitchens•April 6, 2018
The item description states it comes with a 25 ft coax provided, BUT the box did not have one inside nor an install instruction manuel. I attempted to get the playmaker set up this afternoon but after several hours, no luck. It turns out the playmaker will not work with my rv existing cable wiring, it must be wired separately for satellite service. The external connection for cable tv on the rv works through the regular antenna wiring which has the amplifier built in (Little green light where you connect your tv inside the rv) so the satellite antenna requires its own wire. Allot of trouble from the way it is looking at this point. Will update if I discover an easier install method.
Still not having good luck. Only been able to view services 2 times out of 5 trips.

These units are plastic junk inside and you cannot get replacement parts - Plastic gears dont last
W. Mulligan•April 4, 2018
Purchased this unit as a replacement for my Dish Tailgater based on reviews hoping it was more robust. Tailgater was damaged when dropped from the back of a pickup and plastic gears inside were damaged. Think you can get replacement parts."fuhgeddaboudit" You need to shell out another 3 bills for another unit which is totally a rip off for the plastic junk inside that will break or dislodge with the slightest bump. This is what happened when I received my Playmaker thanks to the gorillas at UPS. It arrived "pre-broken" unable to acquire a satellite with rattling gears. Replacement parts? "fuhgeddaboudit". These are junk!!! You might as well go out in the front yard and burn 3 bills and watch your smoke go up in the sky. These units will never last on the roof of a RV and if broken well replacement parts...you know the answer...Wish I could give it less than a star!!!!
