Bought these for use in BiC mechanical pencils to avoid tossing them once supplied leads had been used up. These leads fit 0.7 mm BiCs perfectly and write smoothly with a very good dark line. The lines don't smudge readily, which is good.
However, they are only about 2â„3 the length of the leads BiC supplies with their mechanical pencils, so bear that in mind when purchasing. You may want to buy several packages to compensate for this.

Really nice lead for a good price, the 0.3 lead does break easy if you put the normal pressure that you would use for a 0.7, but you get a ton of lead strands. I'm writing this review almost 2 years since I bought the lead and haven't used up the first container already.

I was looking for a very dark lead. Compared to my actual 0.7 leads (Pilot neox graphite), these 4B are actually a tad lighter than my 2B's, not darker. Since they do not meet my expectations. I may give them away; not worth the trouble of returning.
