I've finally found a topical that really works.

I have severe arthritis in both knees and I always seem to be in pain. I've tried multiple creams and gels and ointments that work for a few hours or stop being effective within a few weeks. I bought Biofreeze on a whim and I won't use anything else. The roll-on allows you to get into all the nooks and crannies. It doesn't kick in immediately so give it a few tries. I put it on in the first thing in the morning and before bed at night. I've been using it for about 6 months and it's all I use. It doesn't take the pain away completely (the shots don't do that), but it doesn't help me get thru day without the throbbing. I can completely recommend it.
Great Product, It Kills Pain Pills Can't

I love this stuff. I've been given small packets by my chiropractor in the past and used it but never bought any of my own.
I thought getting old was a gradual thing, but not for me. I hit 49 and all hell broke loose. I'm 51 now and I now have severe arthritis in my neck and shoulder that causes a great deal of pain. This stuff is magic! It takes away pain that pills can't. It helps me get to sleep when I have an arthritis flare up.

I have a torn meniscus in each knee. During the day I have little pain, but at night I had excruciating pain making it impossible to sleep and had me consulting surgeons. Surgeon said the only way to resolve it is with surgery. Each year there are about 700,000 meniscus surgeries in the U.S. An analysis of 16 studies indicates that while possibly beneficial the first few months, after 2 years there is no statistical difference in outcomes between those who had surgery and those who had supervised PT. At least for now not looking to do surgery. Based on Amazon reviews I tried Traumeel tablets and ointment, T-Relief Mobility and Safe Relief tablets, Icy-Hot patches, and Biofreeze roll-on. Only the Biofreeze roll-on has basically resolved my night-time pain. I highly recommend it. I am using the Professional and it lasts about 4-6 hours depending on the night. About 4am I get up and use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to remove the residue and re-apply the Biofreeze. This gets me through until the morning. It's a lifesaver thus far. I found that if you don't remove the residue between applications as above or with soap/water, the new application isn't very effective. At about $10/unit it seems by far the best, most convenient and most cost effective. I have found that the oral and topical products with lots of arnica give me heartburn, and the smaller Icy-hot patches are expensive for long-term daily use and fall off, as others have complained.
Great for joint pain

Great for aches, pains and stiffness. Use it on joints, neck, ribs, legs, arms, etc. Really helps my sciatica. Helps me sleep at night and on pain days. Prefer the roller ball. The squeeze tube version with a sponge applicator is terrible.
Can sometimes stop a headache from getting bad.

Very surprised with the effectiveness of this product. I use it to help with painful migraine headaches when I don't put a cold wrap around my head. I roll this on my skin starting at the forehead and continuing along the hairline all around my head forming a "halo" and it helps. If I catch a headache early enough, sometimes it halts its progression from moving to severe.
