Files are small. Very small. So far have used only the half round on the project which prompted the purchase. Cutting area is not very coarse, so metal is not removed aggressively. For this project, and the small part being modified, it works very well. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase but a person should keep in mind that these are for removing small amounts of metal from small areas. I may never need the remaining files in the set but it's good to know that the tools are in the drawer for any small parts project that comes up.

These are good quality file set...the handle is important for me wrt file set since a lot of force goes on it and this set is better on that. Recently, my son helped me with filing bamboo stick for one of our project.

This is a nice set of files which can be used on metal or wood (according to my friend who knows tools - which I don't). I'm a woman who likes to make old furniture look different and pretty. These files suit my needs for that specific purpose. They included an extra handle, though the attached handles are sturdy and have no splits or defects that I can see. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Very nice and simple set. Not as big as some other files in length but in so many ways this is better. Most large (longer) files like this are really over kill and more clumsy to use. I like the simple wood handles and smaller file size, much easier to handle and work on items needing a little file. The full set has all the major files I needed.
