IMO. This is a very well made "TRAINING LEAD" I would not use this alone as a collar with my dog attached to a lead in my yard. I have a lot of delivery's such as Amazon and others and I need my dog far enough away from my door so the delivery person is not subject or spooked by my barking dog. My dog is not biter. But he goes absolutely NUTTS over a delivery, mail man and the train down the street. Lol.
So far I have found nothing for my dog that he can not back out of. It's driving me nutts. I have purchased tons of harnesses and collars of all kinds. And none have worked. And I am not a fan of chain link pens. Not yet anyway.
But I am hoping this will do the trick. I will be using a regular collar and this style of a collar at the same time. Hopefully when the dog try's to back out of both the regular collar and this collar. This collar will not slip off his neck and head because it is capable of snugging up. I choose this style because I can control the tightness when he yanks and backs out on it. With a chain chock collar I can not. That is why I think this is a very well made collar.
I personally would not use this as a stand alone regular collar for my dog because I do not want it so tight that it could cause problems in his throat. I just want something to stop him from being able to back out of it. If it works, Great. If not I'll keep looking. But I would not think of this as a waist of money. It's still cheaper then a Vet bill.
The dog I am talking about is a Chuhawa mix mutt at 16-17 pounds and the size "small" fits at the smallest size it will go. Just tight enough so that it is not chocking my dog when he is yanking on it. But tight enough not to go over his head. I have my fingers crossed that it works. I hope this helps someone. Lol.

I use this large size collar on a big golden doodle and it fits on the smallest possible fitting of the collar and it is still a little large but it is fine for what I need it for. The collar looks great.
