A Great tool for quilters!

I bought several sets of these clips to clamp down the 3 layers of a quilt (top, batting, and backing) to my work table when pinning a quilt. The table is a standard melamine cutting table with a top thickness of 5/8" and these clips open wide enough to clamp over the table top, quilt sandwich, and pins if necessary. The depth of the clips provides a good reach so not everything has to be right to the edge of the table to be clamped. They are easy to reposition as needed and hold everything taunt. The clips have a firm enough hold so nothing shifts when pinning yet, do not leave any marks on the fabric. Before using the clips, I did do a light filing on them to make certain there were no burs left on them that would snag fabric. These clips are hands down better than the metal chip clips I had been using prior to this.
