I purchased one of these with an eye toward automating the blinds in my live aboard 1968 Airstream RV. The kit comes with the motor, mounting brackets, charger and remote. One thing that I really liked was that the mounting brackets were made of metal. Because my blinds were so short, I was able to modify the brackets to reduce their profile dramatically and was able to tuck them very neatly under the existing valences. I used 3/4 inch metal electrical conduit from Home Depot as the roller tube and purchased a very inexpensive (+/- $7) vinyl blind from Walmart from which I salvaged the actual blind material. The installation of the first blind was very simple to and took about 45 minutes to install. One thing peculiar to the Airsteam was that the walls fall away from the plane of the blind when it was installed so I cut down the top my window screens about a 1/4 inch which gave the blind a 1/8 inch slot to feed into between the screen and the window and follow the inside arc of the screen while maintaining the screens function. Wow! I was blown away by how slick and seamless the blind worked and appeared when it was installed and adjusted. One quick side note: the included remote setup instructions were beyond cryptic, but a quick search on youtube made everything clear and simple. The setup instructions were the one criticism that I had with this item, but I'm giving it five stars anyway because I was so pleased with the final appearance and functionality of the product. I contacted the company and arraigned to purchase six more of these to do all the windows in the Airstream. As the additional charging cables and remotes were redundant, the seller agreed substitute two multi blind remotes and free shipping in lieu of the unneeded items. Great communication and flexibility on the seller's part, by the way. I was so happy with the Walmart blind material that I used it on all of the windows and can change them out later if I want with a minimum of effort and cost. I set my blinds up as 3 separate groups that I can operate independently or together very simply (and impressively) depending on different conditions. Six months on, I have charged the blinds once about 4 months in and using the +/- 6 ft charging cable and am using the blinds on a near daily basis. For the Airstream, at least, the Wow factor on a 53 year old trailer is through the roof and blows people away with how slick it looks and works.

I purchased one of these motors to test out as possible solution for several roller shades in our home. I have Rollease brand shades with light filtering fabric. I measured my existing interior shade tube at 35mm with a smooth interior. My shade was 70" wide and 84" tall (my largest shade). The motor is plenty strong to raise and lower the shade and is quiet - quieter than I expected - speed is good, not too fast and not too slow. The only modification I needed to make for my mount was to grind/cut down the mount bracket flat tab that inserts into the motor. If you don't have a way to do that, you could probably find and purchase a replacement bracket since the end is standard slotted - you just need to find the right size. It does have a couple different slots for different sizes, mine was too big.
Installation was easy, take down shade which is a flip tab and lift out for mine and then pry out the old chain end clutch and slide insert the motor and rehang shade. Exact shade height doesn't matter as you are rehanging as you will set the top and bottom when setting the remote limits. The motor came with two additional grommets for slightly smaller/large tubes. I swapped to one of the other grommets that was a hair smaller that fit better for my shade. I removed a little retainer clip, swapped ends and reinstalled the clip - it might be a little tricky as the clip is small, a small regular screwdriver worked for me.
I paired the remote prior to rehanging since it was easier to press the pair button when on the ground rather than when hanging up. I also charged the motor prior to starting installation so I was starting with a fresh full charge.
Setting the top, bottom, and mid limit was very easy - you just need a paperclip to press the small set button on the remote. My complete install with remote programming and bracket modification was less than 30 mins and my next ones will be even quicker now that I have done it once. Depending on your specific shade, it could be plug and play for you or you might need some basic DIY skills. If it weren't for the bracket on mine, I probably could have done the install with no tools or maybe just a screwdriver.
My original shipment didn't come with the remote as pictured but the seller was super responsive and shipped one out right away. They have also followed up several times to check in and make sure everything was ok - top notch customer service!
Overall a great product and great seller. Worth the money spent and I will be purchasing several more based on this experience. Once I have everything setup, I won't have to pull shade chains on all my blinds twice a day, I can't wait!

Good support

I have had these for over a year now. Though I had to contact support several time they were fantastic and responsive. They resolved my initial issues with a battery that would not charge and answer all my questions.
I would have given 5 stars but the rollers are louder than we like.

I had purchased blackout roller blinds for a set of three large windows, but the roller stops didn't work well, and I wanted to try and automate them using this product.
I bought one first to try it before going for all 3. Experimenting with how I was going to install definitely saved me time for the other 2 installs.
I reused only the shade material from my blinds. I purchased 1 1/4" EMT tubing from a local home improvement store as I couldn't find aluminum roller tubes that weren't overly expensive for the sizes I needed (nearly 4' and nearly 8'). One question was answered through my install, this combination of the 1.5" motor did work OK with the conduit with a few minor modifications.
-I cut the tube to size using the fabric as my width guide
-Using an exacto knife I carefully removed a small amount from the black rubber piece so it would fit into the tube better. I tried to remove only what I needed so it wasn't jamming in as this is the piece that actually turns the tube.
-As the conduit doesn't have any internal ribs, I drilled a small hole and inserted a nail into the rubber piece through the tube to prevent slipping (the seller recommended this). Measure the location and drill before you put the motor into the tube.
-I also shaved down the plastic fins on the idler bracket a a little using a box cutter.
With these modifications I was able to adapt and get the motor in the tubes.
I purchased the brackets sold by the seller which worked well.
Programming the remotes gave me a little trouble until I realized that you need to EXACTLY follow the sequence of setting the up and down limits, IN ORDER as written on the instructions. Once I did this it was simple.
I purchased the 5-channel remote from this seller so all blinds could be controlled from one remote.
The seller was extremely responsive to my questions with the product during the whole process. That was great and totally helped me out.
Had I stopped here I still would have been very satisfied at the ability to automate a whole wall full of window blinds for around $400 in all (including the conduit and a few other supplies).
As the last step was I purchased a Broadlink RM 4 Pro on Amazon, installed the app and "learned" the roller blind remote function. With this I can create routines and automate raise/lower times. (The Broadlink only will control raise/lower, you need the upper/lower limit setting from the Rollerhouse remote.) As others said in the Q&A, 433.92 is the frequency to use. I haven't yet integrated the Alexa part but apparently that is possible. Now all 3 blinds raise and lower in unison at my preset times.
Totally worth it!!

Simple, reliable, easy to install and operate

I originally bought Rollerhouses to replace the Somfy motors in my Comfortex Shangrila sheer blinds. They are chargeable and their RF protocol is far superior to Somfy's RTS. The range is greater: I can send commands from 100' away compared to 15' with Somfy. Then I ordered more Comfortex blinds. The tubes for all the Comfortex blinds are the same, whether you buy them motorized or not. So I got the cheaper blinds with the pull chain, took the chain mechanism off and replaced it with a Rollerhouse motor. It worked perfectly. I also have blackout blinds behind the sheer blinds in the bedrooms. Again I bought the chain operated and replaced with Rollerhouse. I did the same with some much cheaper blinds from Amazon for my son's apartment. I had to file off about1/8"" of the plastic end piece to make it fit. Again, no problems. I use the Neo Smartblinds controller for all the blinds. I also have some very large outdoor insect blinds with other motors shipped by the manufacturer. But all the blinds are controlled from one app. I schedule blackout shaedes to come down in the evening. The blinds on the East side go down 20 minutes after sunrise and rise again 3 hours after sunrise when the sun is no longer baking in. On the West side they close earlier to block the sun, then move to a see through position later. I also have the controllers on all the rooms for manual operation.
I have been using Rollerhouse for over four years now. They are easy to physically install. Setting the upper, lower limits and favorite position is not complicated, but you must concentrate and follow a disciplined approach or you get confused and must repeat. They are very reliable. They hold a charge for many months. I charge all 45 blinds within a day using the 12v chargers, so it's no hassle. They are quiet and smooth. The service was excellent. Because I was placing a big order I wanted to know if the black rubber grommets would fit the flanges in the tubes of the Comfortex blinds. The communication with Rollerhouse was excellent. They sent me a whole bag of grommets as a spare (although it turned out to be unnecessary.)
I am extremely happy with the company, the product and its functioning with the Neo Smartblinds controller. I highly recommend Rollerhouse. And Neo Smartblinds.
