These plates are 8.5" & perfect for small lightweight food e.g. a few wings, a plain sandwich, 1/3 of a big sub, & medium slice of cake. If you're in a pinch have Amazon Fresh deliver them in a few hours. I used them for a last minute get together & I didn't care about the design. I like Solo products but I price shop & these were a good value for what I needed. I recently ordered some larger durable plates because I dislike doing dishes & a lot of plates have a coating that is toxic, so do your research! Remember, not all paper plates are microwavable.
