Clear Comms

Excellent product! I use these to referee soccer matches. The comms are clear even though we are running during the match. Makes refereeing so much better! Fit is pretty good. Volume is great!
Great setup if you are a soccer refereee

I like the weight and overall comfort and size of the units. The provided instructions are pretty blame. However, there are a few good YouTube videos that help set up and pair the units. Those officials who have used them with me are impressed with how we can communicate effectively while being on the pitch.
Finally a soccer referee comm system affordable to the masses!

Is this soccer referee comm system better quality than that $2000 comm system? No. Does it pair effortlessly every single time like the $2000 comm system? No. Does it offer crystal clear, background noise filtering audio like the $2000 comm system? No. But do you know what it does? It allows me communicate with all refs on the field and make better informed decisions in real time. No more trying to get each other's attention and then using discrete hand signals to communicate what we need to do. I see a lot of soccer ref message boards speak poorly of these Chinese made Bluetooth comms, encouraging us to fork over $2000 for "professional communication systems". But sorry, that's not going to happen.
Yes, there's a few quirks. The pairing process is not intuitive, but I write down the steps on a piece of paper and keep it with the kit. I can turn on the comms and pair all units pressing just one button on each unit about 75% of the time. Once in a while I have to redo the pairing process, but you'll get the hang of it. The audio has a few crackles when you talk and the mics pick up everything from heavy breathing as you sprint down the field on a fast breakaway, to picking up conversations from the technical area. I kind of prefer this when I'm the AR, as you can hear the entire conversation the referee is having with a player. The $2000 comms filter out ambient sound and you can only hear the refs side of the conversation.
The best things about this system is the range and the battery life. Be sure and unplug your mic if you leave to go the the bathroom, or you'll be broadcasting to your crew your trip to the urinal. It's got that much range. And it has crazy long battery life too. I routinely go back to back games with no problem and I once did 3 back to back 45 min half games and they were still going strong.
I've done about 30 games with these comms and bang for your buck, I couldn't be happier. Will they last years and years? Dunno. I did have to order new earpieces, as the ones included were pretty flimsy and started coming apart after only a few games. If you can find the comms that have the thicker earpieces, then I'd say go with that one.

Work great for refereeing, no PTT, don’t clean with acetone.

I bought these and a 2 set of V4's and use them with the refs on the field and 4th official. I like how they work, only caution is, they are always transmitting , so you hear people breathing, crowd noise, everything the microphones pick up. They do not use a push to talk. One other caution - they don't talk about cleaning do's and don't but a definite don't is don't clean them with acetone. I numbered my units with fingernail polish and when I decided to renumber after buying my additional V4's and tried to take the old polish off with acetone, some protective coating they put on (probably to aid water resistance) started coming off too.
